The Man Who Laughs at the Last Days of a Condemned Man with the Toilers of the Sea with Supreme Compassion of the Pope: The Victor Hugo Story

Not 5 minutes later and I'm reading a website about the history of this East-Bumfuck town in Masachusetts and the header is a quote from Victor Hugo.

The 3D in the Hugo trailer looked admittedly impressive today in front of Harold Lloyd Potter.

Sooo I'm watching Biutiful for Bardem and because Inarritu used to be talented, but so far it's boring as hell.

I didn't think it was at all boring, just hard because you knew nothing good was going to come of any of it. Loved Bardem and all the performances. But a friend of mine was so bored she walked out.

I enjoyed Harry Potter yesterday. Felt very satisfied by it.

In previous Inarritu films the side characters all had some importance, this film had far too many extra things going on, had if focused solely on the man, his family and his struggle with disease it would have flowed better for me. Sure you can have him repenting from a life of crime, but it doesn't need to take up that much of the runtime. It could have easily been under two hours. I was also disappointed in Bardem's performance, it wasn't bad by any means but for him and for all the hype it received, I was disappointed. Again though, that comes down to how it was written.

I've seen all of Inarritu's films and I do see what you mean. I guess I saw all the side characters as fleshing out the picture of a man overwhelmed with life, and death. I did get confused by everything that was going on at times but I remained engaged and I thought Bardem was wonderful. And I loved the opening and closing shots.

I'm relieved, but the talk of possibly moving studios makes me worried Brian Grazer has the rights and that we'll irrevocably be stuck with Ron Howard and fucking Akiva Goldsman. Call up JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof, please, TV series, 'nuff said.

The Berlin Alexanderplatz set is gorgeous. I can't wait to start watching.

So I'm watching The 400 Blows. This doesn't look like that porno of Lance's Mom's weekend at Yellowstone Park (Ron Jeremy goes by Old Faithful), but I'll give it a chance.

Dear friends. I have only seen half of the first Harry Potter movie because I fell asleep during it. I kinda want to see the rest of them now anyway, what with the creatures and all. But I dont want to start with the first one because in case you didnt read the second sentence, I fell asleep during it. I have the rest infront of me right now. Can someone tell me what the second one is called so I can watch it? Thanks

The second one is garbage, probably the worst in the series.

I'd start with the third one, Prisoner of Azkaban, which IMO is still the best (with Deathly Hallows, Part 1 close behind).
