Call me biased, but I just really can't think of any other artists that could utilize the Sphere quite as well as U2 did. I just don't think there's a whole lot of groups with iconic imagery (Zoo Station TVs, The Fly words, etc.) that make it fun.

I feel like you would need to create new "iconic" imagery and kind of have that be your whole thing now.

oh there are plenty who could - but it's a question of who would want to put that much work in.

phish went more generic on what they did than U2 and still took close to a year to get the production done, so there's a barrier to entry here. the key to long term success for the venue is lowering that barrier before other venues (and global touring in general) catch up to the technology.
