Why is that? Normally all the scalpers swoop up the GAs to sell them. How can they sell them if you need the credit card to get in? Thus leaving room for real fans to buy the GAs.

In the past....when they add additional dates (they have to be adding at least pairs of shows to most of the cities), they have done another round of sales with presales haven't they? It has not been when both shows in Chicago sell out in like 6 minutes on Monday that they just open sales for 2 more dates immediately...they'll announce the additional dates, do presales, and then do the public sale the following week I hope. At that point there should be a little less competition with most of the presale codes used...I hope.

Why did it seem better when Propaganda handled this stuff with you sending off a sheet of paper with 3 choices and a few weeks later tickets ended up in your mailbox?

So I got split seats for night 2 Boston. Really wanted GA, so am going to try on Monday morning. If I am successful, do y'all think it will be easy to offload my Boston split pair? Does the U2 fan base have a recommended go-to place to sell/trade tickets honestly and at face value?

and...way fewer GA's then the stadium shows we've grown used to

Personally, if I can't get GA's for Toronto1 on Monday, I'll wait until the few days leading up to the show and get a Ticketmaster re release of GA's. This will almost certainly happen and it's the way I get good seats for most big shows. This worked for me for the past three U2 tours and here's hoping it'll work again...

What a joke.. on Stubhub there's already GA's for both Toronto's..for $1500 a pop.. Do you get a free credit card with your name on it with that too?

Ticket resellers are listing GA tickets for Stockholm for about $500..

And they dont have any tickets yet, you can "pre-order" tickets.

WOW...This was all @ 12:00-12:10 today: in this order on 2 computers and 1 phone: tried for lower bowl NY1- failed, GA NY1- failed, lower bowl NY4- fail, lower bowl NY2- fail....then...

NY2: 2xGA success!!!

I gotta say, having been a member of u2's fan club for a period greater than 10 years (albeit on and off) and then to struggle this much for a good seat is slightly ridiculous.

Having said that, I am still thankful.

With lower bowl msg going for thousands on stubhub, no surprise that we get shorted on these seats. The resale market is already huge as there are no paperless tix for msg. One way they are trying to discourage this is by delaying ticket delivery.

It is sad, but these are the times we live in. Gone are the Propaganda days.

How can they sell them if you need the credit card to get in

this is a 'minor deterrent' for them but never really stopped them. I see GA tickets on sale with terms like, "must meet at venue and you'll be escorted in". When I get into a venue via paperless I can see how easy this can be. They swipe my card and give me 2 stubs. Nothing/no one stops me from going back, handing over the stubs to someone, and have them get in. So scalpers' only inconvenience is having to meet there. If the profit is still hundreds of dollars, it's a no brainer.

There are plenty of GA's on Stubhub. Scalpers just buy the tickets with a giftcard to get around the credit card requirement

Consider this from the scalpers' point of view. Some won't be disuaded and use gift cards, as previously mentioned. Some never realized of the paperless issue or believe that they have ways of getting around the obstacles. There are the legalized platforms and resellers who may be allowed to operate this way, because they're in the clear. Then, some will think," I will have to meet 50 people at around the same time AT THE GATE to let them in. I risk potential arrest or fines because security will clearly see I'm a scalper. It's those who may be dissuaded. And there are still lots of them.

What is the max number of people allowed on an arena floor GA? 2000?

Do we know actually know the size and design of this stage? If this is an elaborate setup, then surely it eats into the floor's capacity to hold people.

Most people who work for ticket brokers are well aware of this. Paperless entry is nothing new. I work for a secondary ticket resale company. This is old news.

Should I subscribe to U2.com right now and try for Toronto tickets in the presale?

Anyone know if there are any tickets left, besides the $300 seats?

ideally I want GAs of the ~$100 seats!

Please help!!!!

Thanks!

for those wondering, it seems like Boston, San Jose, Chicago and Vancouver have run dry. (of GA's)

Got GA's for first Toronto Show. No go for second night. Managed to get GA's for first Friday show in Montreal. Road trip! Still some GA's available for first Montreal show. If you suck at French like I do, have Google Translate open in another window. :)

Shut out from TO. Had two GAs in my cart and ready to go, and then they were gone. Since then (that was 30 seconds in) haven't found a GA ticket. 10 minutes it being told nothing is available anywhere.

So, in other words - all the TO pre-sale tickets are gone?

I guess there's no point singing up now...

Can anyone just hop on TM and see if there are ANY tickets left or do I need a pre sale code to get in?

GA's all sold out for Toronto. No idea if any will be available for General sale.
All other seated tickets are slim pickings in the corners, starting at $300, unless you want to go crazy with a VIP package.

Some GA's available for first night in Montreal! Road trip!

being the lawyer that I am, it is entirely possible to buy a pre-paid CC and use it.

The terms make this clear:

Can I buy tickets with a gift card or virtual credit card?
Sorry, you gotta use a credit card – the plastic kind – so it can be swiped at the entrance to find your purchase.

so virtual money, that is merely loaded in an account is not enough.

now, if this event was ticketless AND ID required, then it would be harder.

that was the foo fighters concert on halloween. ID and ID had to match name of CC used to purchase ticket.

now, a more savy scalper would have this set up already but would run some risk since they would need to get the balance off so it would probably only work with a re-laodable CC.

but a prepaid one should work.

There is a chance they start adding shows to sold out cities after general public sale. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a least one more show added to Toronto.

more GAs will be made available for the general sale. the question is, how many.
