I guess they still like older U2 and enjoy discussing this with people who know what they are talking about, since it's not a very good topic for the coffee break at work.
Not everyone on a forum is here to discuss the most recent stuff, sure most of us are, but I can understand that there can be some who aren't.

As for myself, my opinion on SOI doesn't bear repeating, but that doesn't mean U2 is dead to me. I'm looking forward to the tour and honestly hope SoE will be more to my taste. Or the record after that.
