The way I see it:

Audience gets bored by anything remotely political? Tough shit.

Audience gets bored by new stuff from NLOTH? Tough shit. (That goes for U2, too - tough shit, boys. Play them anyway!)

We get bored by hearing IALW again? Well .... tough shit for us.

Hi guys, and I totally agree with you Cori.
I know during the Vertigo tour, the political piece is what I loved the most since it coincided w/ the mahem of the Bush years and those of us that actually marched in protest in DC and NY felt a kinship with this mini protest/politcal statement U2 made during the tour It's not the only reason I am a fan, but it is a big part of what I love about them and that's what they are known for hello...

When I first saw youtube footage of it last summer from Barcelona, I actually cried with joy at how EPIC the Claw looks bathed in red.

Seeing it in Tampa was just spectacular. It felt SO right.

Cori I don't think the guys are bored with NLOTH.
They really loved alot of it BUT maybe they felt a lot of the audience-higher up, not us in the pit or around the outer rail area
