The full band live version of The Wanderer (from some tv show) might be the closest we get to that. There's a good recording of it so I imagine the video is on YouTube.

I like the song but wish Dangermouse knew what to do with a live drummer. Between this & OL, he seems to love making the drums sound dry & dead & isolated, which is (IMO) not great & a far cry from the roomy, spacious sounds of Lanois.

I wonder if they're going to do something like make the new album exclusive to streaming on Beats Music for a while before making it available for sale in stores. Although Super Bowl through June would be a crazy long amount of time for that to happen.

I just bought the "Turn off the Dark" soundtrack to tide me over until there's more real new U2 music. I really wish they'd release U2's version of "Boy Falls from the Sky". The live bootleg version has a few too many Edge flubs to enjoy much.

Just curious, with all the talk of what albums sold big & what didn't, is there a chart or list where we can compare sales numbers?

The "father to son" part of Dirty Day totally slays me. Like, almost to tears, every single time. It's fantastic. And the drum beat changes up at that point. I love that song.

It's not the Larry showcase I'm always hoping for but still seems like a decent song, on first listen. I'm curious how it will stack up in the context of the new album. Was this a leftover from those sessions or something too good to wait for? :hmm:

He said they hope to be done with these 12 songs by the end of November so they can take December off. Very cool.

Listening to it now. I love listening to international radio broadcasts. It's such a cool little snapshot of someone else's pop culture.
