The Fly
I don't know if I am allowed to do that, but back from Dublin i was somehow disappointed that there was no setlist party ...
Their show Saturday was about as special as their show in Louisville, Kentucky
you're absolutely right, there isn't any difference in the shows themselves.
i'm watching on saturday and the few times they could have done something a little different, they didn't. total missed opportunity. the planes were cool though.
I can see fans from all over the world pretty much at any show.
i've just never subscribed to the "you have to see U2 in dublin. it's so bucket list'y" mantra.
I agree that the show had nothing special.
I had to travel abroad to see them because they were not playing in Switzerland and I thought that would be THE chance to see them in Dublin.
I was hoping for something special but we had nothing but the planes (which was awesome ...)
When they started Bad and not ASOH I believe that I heard a roar of disappointed around me (maybe that was just me ?) ...
So the show was cool but it was probably exactly the same as anywhere else.
What is probably different however was the very cool atmosphere in Dublin before the show (and the night before). Pubs are having U2 specials everywhere, you meet fans every 10 meters ... that was worth the trip !
