I almost met up with BVS when I was in Texas last fall. My family wedding craziness prevented it, however.

My personal opinion is that he never looked cooler than he did in the Marvin tribute Serve the Children video. Backwards kangol-type hat, scruffy facial hair, cigarillo. Plus the track itself is some Nelle Hooper trip-hoppity sweetness. Love the duet with Marvin doing the low spoken part and Boner the higher sung echoes. The video kicks ass, too.

A quick note to those who ordered the Limited Edition Box from Amazon UK:

So the orders have still not been cancelled. Is it safe to say that we're in the clear? They wouldn't blindside us a few days before release, right? And plus, wouldn't they need to get shipped before the weekend anyway?

Fuck, I feel like Dalton waiting for the results of an HIV test.

Why would they be cancelled?

Crap, good thinking, ordering it from the UK site.

I was cheap and did super saver shipping, which is 5-9 days or something.
 
Are you guys going to buy a standard version while you're waiting for the box to arrive, which might be a week after release? Or are you happy to just sit with the download until then?

I think I may pick one up (Amoeba is having a Linear screening and if you buy the CD you get a free lithograph) and then just give it to someone once I get my deluxe shit.
 
I keep watching for my cancellation email as well, but so far nothing! That would rock so hard to get all that good stuff for 17 pounds ... whatever that translates into dollars, anyway. All I know is that it's much less than the $70+ I was paying after tax. :dancing:

I'll be buying the regular edition on Tuesday (midnight on Tuesday, if I can stay awake that long Monday night).
 
For those of you who ordered from the UK, have fun waiting. My Get On Your Badminton Shoes single I purchased from Amazon UK has still not arrived, and it's closing in on 2 weeks since it shipped.

I'll be buying a standard version disc and hopefully Best Buy or somewhere has the ultra fancy deluxe versions, as I'll buy one of those too. Yay for paying for the same album 3 times!
 
I still have to think that Best Buy's initial sale price for the deluxe set will be heavily marked down the first week. They are usually very good at that.

It probably won't reach the Amazon UK price, but I bet it won't be too far off.
