You should see them and listen to Gossamer more.
I fucking love Constant Conversations.
I fucking love Constant Conversations.
I don't really remember much from Gossamer after hearing it. Maybe 3-4 songs I can recall the chorus or whatever. Overall, it's a very well constructed album and the lyrics are great, but I think you guys that are like CATCHIEST SONGS EVAR SO ADDICTING IT'S LIKE BEATLES LACED WITH SUGAR NICOTINE CRACK are willing that into being.
Manners has like half a dozen songs I've had on constant loop for 3 years.
TEAM MANNERS
I don't really remember much from Gossamer after hearing it.
I really love both albums and don't see any point in arguing about it.
Maybe hear it again before passing judgement?
Actually, it's one of my most listened to records of the year and I've heard the tracks individually many times out of context because of Ashley trying to decide on a favorite.
To be honest, I'm not sure I would like the album as much as I do if I hadn't read that Pitchfork article, which helped me to hone in on the lyrics. I would have eventually caught on to how much of a bummer it was, but not right off the bat. You don't look for confessional shit in albums that sound like this one, and the fact that it has that deeper level impresses me greatly.
lazarus said:The way you phrased your statement that I quoted doesn't really jibe with "one of my most listened to records of the year".
