I e-mailed Sean "the Rabbi" Tyszler (music director) on Philadelphia's WMMR (93.3) radio station about U2's new single. He sent me the following response:

We are supposed to get it Monday 3:15AM. It may play once or twice in the overnight if the Jock on the air can get download it. I am in at 6AM & I will give it to Preston & Steve to play about 7AM & again maybe in the 9AM hour. I will play it several times throughout the day. That is all I know right now. Thanks for being a part of WMMR.

awesome...i had e-mailed pierre robert last week regarding the single and he hadn't known when it'd be released yet. i guess i'll be pullin an all nighter and sittin by the radio sunday night/monday morning waitin for them to play it

haha a slight exaggeration there! I think its good to have a PM concerned with our global image (doesnt want to be the mini-america that Howard so desperately craved).

Also bear in mind that a lot of the places he has visited have been places we have neglected for so many years, or, he's been to major world conferences. Plenty of good to be said for networking

I know. I joke I joke. Despite how easy he is to poke fun of, I actually think he's doing a good job. I have a lot of time for his foreign policy. I'm a liberal voter, but I think he's doing a fantastic job in repairing the damage done by the Howard years, in terms of our international relations and standing.

I actually feel the same. It would be so nice to just know when it's coming and have everyone present and prepared. If it just leaked randomly, so many people will miss it when it first plays.
