Ohh
I didn't know that was even possible.

gabrielvox said:No I mean I would first change the key of the backing track to match the album, then re-sing it. It's doable...

Miringeltje said:Whatever happened to just singing and waiting to hear however it turned out?
Miringeltje said:Yeah well, I recorded my part to fit with the backing track.
That combo sounded OK enough. (To my ears at least).
Mixed with the album version, not so much so....
I know I'm probably alone on this (judging for the posts above), but I'll say it any way, I don't want the backing track to be changed to album key.
Justin24 said:are you all still working on Gone?
gabrielvox said:Yikes, didn't mean to start a firestorm...I must admit I agree with Miringeltje in that we should just kinda 'go for it' without a huge production...but to be fair, it would be good also to keep it in album key, cause that's what everybody knows and has sung along in their showers, cars, etc, to all along...

didnt re-sing it or anything, just dropped it. (so it might sound weird, but just sing to it and your timing will be ok for whoever ends up trying to mix it with that "no vocals" edit )

So I just scrap the current mix I have so far and start a fresh??
ETA: Hey it sounds better now...
