The pros and cons....

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

stadiums: if the crowd is good, the "rock concert energy" beats that of an arena show. there is something about those gigantic props.. in 97 they came out of a huge lemon, cant do that in arenas!
sound is a question mark... not as good as arenas. not as intimate a feeling either.

seats: stroll in during the opening band all relaxed after a nice meal and some wine... grab a beer and take a piss, voila- your seat is still there for you! no tired legs from standing for hours and hours.
not as cool as being right there on or near the rail with band members looking you in the eye... a good seat, however, can get you pretty darn close.

ga: fun making a day of it, meeting other fans, getting pumped for a great show. obviously the enviable spot by the rail is another bonus.
but, by the time the show starts you may be aggravated and tired from the standing and pushing etc. also you are spending a lot of your energy defending your spot once you have it. going to the bathroom or grabbing some drinks is tough

sound: its u2, it'll sound pretty damn good! i remember bc place in '97. the music sounded fine, but when bono would rant-and we all know and love his rants- you couldn't really tell wtf he was saying :shifty:

Actually, they did fit the PopMart stage, lemon included, into one arena show - Perth - they just had to leave out the toothpick with the olive. So they passed out little toothpicks with olives to the audience, and told them to hold it up in their field of vision to the right side of the stage and imagine. :D
