That seriously almost makes me want to see it just so I can gawk in amazement that it's just that bad.
Just in time. My friend's birthday is next week and although he hinted a million times that he wanted to go, I never told him I got tickets. Now I can wrap it up for his birthday.
My cat just saw me get my suitcases out. He's pissed.
I recall him being pissed at me and my suitcase once.
BoMac, the sig is still cracking me up.
BoMac, the sig is still cracking me up.
Knowing his bowel control issues, he'll probably shit his pants regardless of what is played.
The response at the annual In Memorium (sp?) montage at the Oscars is a huge indicator of this.
I've always thought that the In Memorium moment of the Oscars (and any other awards show) is just strange. The difference in applause each name gets is very clearly audible and I've always found it to be incredibly awkward and ... not right? I don't know how to word it.
But this famous and good looking actor that died gets 10x the applause that this well respected cinematographer gets. I don't know. It seems completely disrespectful. I guess there's nothing to be done about it because they keep doing it every year.
I don't know where else to put this, and I don't want to come off like I'm trying to antagonize anyone for feeling this way, but I feel that celebrity deaths are incredibly strange. You feel some sort of connection with these people based on their talent or body of work, and have no clue who the hell they are or how they conducted themselves in real life. I don't know if it can be understood, but it's sad nonetheless.
And somehow, we as a people decide which deaths are "most important" and worth-remembering. The response at the annual In Memorium (sp?) montage at the Oscars is a huge indicator of this.
What do you guys think?
