Has there been any reports of arguments or fights for rail spots at the first two shows?

Since the stage is "The Shaft", are we calling anyone who pushes and shoves their way through people to the mainstage rail a bunch of pubes?

Outer rail of RZ entrance was the best of all worlds. You'll get all of it in that 30 feet radius. I was there both nights. It was awesome. The screen was perfect there. Then I wanted close to the band and got it.
After End of the World, the visuals of the screen was not as important. Up close from Invisible onwards was gold. Danced my ass off whole time!

I saw two women fighting after Vancouver1 on the rail AFTER the show was over. Anyone know what that was about?

How did the kids like it?

I'm trying to figure out where you are talking about to plan my spot in Chicago. Is it by the b-stage? :hmm: I'm looking at a map of the stage here, but I'm not sure what the outer rail is. (First time GA-er here :reject: )

(Yes I realize that's not Chicago!)

littleheartsuitcase, the RZ's have actually changed location. They are not located beside the e-stage, as shown on the San Jose map. They are now located close to part of the I-stage, & extending along the boundary of the floor. As shown on the map below,

So the outer rail of RZ would be the horizontal barrier separating RZ & GA. I assume the entrance to RZ is furthest from the I-stage, so around centre ice. Being around centre ice, you should have some view of both stages, while being backed up against the RZ, you'll also be a bit further from the catwalk, so can take in that spectacular LED screen.

Thanks, d.darroch, that was a really good explanation. I'll keep that in mind. :)

I was doubting that map because it seemed odd to me that the RZ is basically shoved to one side or the other.

Some RZ'ers are actually complaining about the new location of RZ. Saying they don't get enough rail space against one of the stages. But I think this new spot is probably better for them. Some rail space against the I-stage, but definitely with better views of the screen now, & the ability to see the band on the other stage from a little closer.

How did the kids like it?

My daughter loved the 1st night. Understatement really. My son, on the other hand, was bribed with presents (Lego) to let mom go the second night. He really wasn't all go interested to go to begin with and I wasn't about to push him to go. We all listened to the New York Times podcast about the tour preview on our drive to Vancouver on Wednesday. The wife loved what she heard and that was it, she just had to go. (she has seen U2 3 times prior with me and felt it was enough, but something about this podcast sold her on wanting to go again). She quite like it. We made a nice date of it. It's so hard to escape your kids and grandpa was up to have some alone time with the kids. My son got more than double the cost of the GA tix in Lego. Everybody won.

Ah, now this made me go back and check out everybody's other favourite Shau/wn. It was entertaining.

He made an oh-so-accurate prediction here: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-20.html#post7692412

The thread's a bit calm for a little while after that; some people even take him seriously and he tries to clarify/drop a bit more information.

I then call him out: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-24.html#post7692506

Headache calls him out in more detail and the bickering begins: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-24.html#post7692548

The guy posts way too many personal details right off the bat and then invites people to look him up: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-26.html#post7692594

So Steved1998 takes him up on that and it turns out the guy was arrested for soliciting prostitutes, a charge he goes on to deny: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-27.html#post7692600

Both of them reeeeaaaallllllyyyyyy dig in. Steve gets vicious. Soon Christianity is in the mix: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-29.html#post7692631

Anyway, in the end Diemen intervenes and there's some Interference soul-searching that gradually peters out... but then a week or so later WHO CALLED MY CHURCH: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ore-new-album-talk-215892-98.html#post7695836

Enjoy!

Oh and one of the regularly scheduled Nick vs gvox shitfights that intervened in the thread led me to this: http://www.u2interference.com/forum...ew-album-discussion-215739-6.html#post7676666

Hey gvox, how's that Earth 2030 going?

:corn: That was amusing indeed. So did we in the end find out who called his church? Steved?

Had to be. Surely. Steve was quite the... Prankster...

How the fuck could someone tell people to google him to verify his credibility, knowing his mug shot would turn up!

Everybody won except your wallet! Friggin Lego's. Things are stupid expensive. Sounds like a good weekend for the family.
