NLOTH in 320kbps sounds suprisingly better

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

There's a rumour going around that the original 256 file that most people have as actually a Transcode - ie an inferior re-encoding of an already compressed track. This would be bizarre as it was a legitimate download from getmusic.com but apparently those in the know who analyze these thing have come to that conclusion - just getting this from the discussion of the album over at atease, the Radiohead forum.

I'm listening to the tracks from the U2.com stream on headphones right now. They're also 256 kbps, but I do think they sound a bit clearer and have better separation than the Getmusic tracks.

Weird. Just makes the Getmusic leak that much more, I don't know, fishy.
