Here's hoping they can do it again.

I personally think (or hope) that last year's miracle will be the last one for another 80 years...

Oh well. There's always tomorrow. (Better say that while I still can)

Whew.

Game 2 had me guessing, but GUCH came through.

I wonder how he feels about being called Guch?

I can see Guch as a character on the SNL skit DA BEARS, DA BULLS, DA GUCH.

That would be funny.

die hard yankee fans who still rooted for the team in the 80s do exist, ya know...

few and far between, but they're out there. i've met a few. strange cats.

No doubt. I did live in the Bronx for 6 years.

But I've also met many a "new" fan.

Looks like there will be a rainout or two in New York over the course of the next few days. Advantage: Yankees...as the Angels will have to face Mussina in an earlier game than anticipated.

Giambi was voted "Comeback" player of the year. Fan voted. Be proud Yankee fans, as I'm sure most of his votes came from the tri-state area.

I swear, I was about to call my bookie to place a bet on the Red Sox not scoring.

Whatever. They just need one more run. Assuming Clement, Arroyo and Timlin can shut down the White Sox over the next three innings. I will now drink a glass of Drano.

Seriously, that guy has a switch that he turns on for the postseason.

Meanwhile, if the Red Sox end up stretching out this series, they're going to end up blowing out Jon Papelbon's arm in the process.

What happened to Hermanson, didnt he used to be the White Sox closer?
