Can you stand around McD's in the parking lot and drink beer in Canada? People are going to think we're a bunch of hoodlums up to no good!

You'd be pretty much asking for the $120 Open Liquor fine... or at least it used to be $120, that was a few years ago - it could've went up since!

Will we need something in walking distance? is there anything but a McD's and Tim Hortons in walking distance?

I personally am starting a hunt for the BEST seafood restaurant in Moncton for Friday night... open to guests for sure. Then catch some Z's and get in line early.

My wife developed a shellfish allergy over the last 4 years and doesn't cook the good stuff anymore! So I will be a kid in a candy store when my Lobster hits the table!

Within walking distance I'd definitely reccomend trying the casino! I've never tried the buffet but I know the food at Moose's Wild Pub in there is delicious and not horribly priced (I reccomend the Steamed PEI Mussels ) lol and Friday's are Surf & Turf all you can eat buffet for $19.99 in July! And there's also free live music in the pub on friday and saturday nights...

Agreed, we gotta get our act together. I think the biggest problem is that it seems all of us are traveling there and don't know the area.

If the Pumphouse is packed then I'd definitely reccomend the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse! It's only about a block or two from the Pumphouse - That's where we always head too when we go out in Moncton - always great live music and always a good time! Not walking distance from camping though - this is right downtown where most of the bars are...

We need to plan a gathering soon so everyone knows where to go. Lots of us won't have electricity to charge our phones because of the camping
Friday night at concert camping I will be having a late night card game and possibly beer pong by lanterns if anyone wants to stop by. We may hit the water park early Saturday morning to help sober uo before some concert pregame. Friday day we will br doing something between Halifax and Moncton. Join us-Howie

Is pot legal in Canada?

if you keep it somewhat under wraps you will be fine. We stayed at the Holiday Inn near the venue for the Rolling Stones and there was no issue at all. Now, walking by a cop with one lit may not be the best idea. I think pot will be the least of the police concerns, liquor and drinking and driving (public safety) will be the big thing. Keep your beer in plastic cups, should save a lot of grief.

So yeah, this was just posted on Facebook:

So if you are lining up for GA, VIC is running the line (Met Drew there already). So go sign in (no camping over night). To find Vic go into the Magnetic Hill Theme Park and Zoo entrance - travel through the park as if you are exiting and you'll see him against the fence with his little tent! Good-luck.

Line starts Tuesday for a Saturday show. WHAT THE FUCK EVER.

So over it.

Just saw this...Please note: Due to road closures mandated by the City of Moncton for the concert on Saturday, July 30, 2011, Magic Mountain Water Park and Mini-Golf will be closed for the day. However, paid parking for concert day will be available and should be purchased online in advance.

That is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard of. If I had GA (which I don't), I'd just line up whenever on Saturday morning if I wanted a close spot.

I'll go on Friday like planned and see what the deal is. Will I still get a number? Probably. What else will I do until the gates open?

who the hell are these people?

if there were any more shows to go, it would be time to start annoying the band/management about it.

i don't even do ga (apart from once, where i walked into the stadium at 7pm and had a great time), but this is just out of hand. at least when i criticised people in chicago in 2009 for queuing for two days, at least they actually sat in line for two days.

It is what it is. I wonder if next tour will be different and they return to the random scan. I'll do my bit and try to make the most of it. GET THEE TO THE LEATHER.

I don't get how this works? I will be passing through on Thursday morning on the way to Dartmouth and I have to pick up my GA tics at will call anyway. So if I go see a guy in the zoo (in a tent) and he writes a number on my hand it's my palce in line? But I don't have to actually get in line until Saturday morning? If it washes off can I just re-write it? Is this a joke?:hmm: Plus with GA tics where do I wanna be inside for the show?

Well, fuck Vic and his little friend, Drew. "Running the line"?

Yeah, as someone who loves U2 but not dedicating entire days to lining up, I miss the lottery.

There's like 6 people. There will probably be 6 to 15 people for the next 2 days. It will start to get busy Friday afternoon. That is my prediction. In Montreal, we walked in at gates and were fine.

Let's talk about the get together.
