Today I ate so much I thought I was going to barf ... and this was two hours after having eaten so much.

It wasn't the BBQ itself (which was tasty), it was the sides. Oh my god. Oh my god. Better than imaginary sex with rock stars.

Four words: Sweet potato tater tots.

They were worth feeling sick over.

and that's sayin' sumpthing!!!

We got a light dusting of snow today, and we're supposed to get up to 5 inches this weekend. Horror! By now we should be thigh deep, and we've become soft, and a little bit freaks us out.

 wow! one year's difference and look what it does to you all in the TO area!

a little dusting 2 days back, maybe a little more today and ? tomoorw or ?tues again ( 1 -2 inches)

hopefully not too much for the 2nd half of winter ( a few dustungs, an inch or 2 here & there since end of Oct Snow was :crack::crack: crazy/nasty!!!!

Yeah... and then I was going to take Monday the 20th off, but I can't do that either. But that week is only a 3 day week. And on the long weekend, I've got a date night with Mr.Z, a huge 40th Birthday party for Mr.Z and my BFF (their birthdays are 6 days apart) and a really fun bike scavenger hunt called the Urban Assault. Should be a good weekend.

Ah, well, GOOD to hear that there IS better stuff/celebrations and long weekend ahead !:hyper:

Just got awesome seats right beside the stage for the Coldplay Minneapolis show!!!!

Ps. Amy got the same section two rows in front of me :hi5:

Awesome! So is that 2 shows you're going to?
I only get one since I'm traveling with my son, but I did see them this fall before most people did so that's cool.

I cannot believe it. :ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:

My daughter is all about the butterfly confetti! She is almost obsessed with getting some!

Mr. Z said it was a freakin' avalanche of butterflies the other night.
Me: Did you bring me one?
Him: NO - I even thought about it too
Me: Why didn't you? I was even sending you mental vibes to bring me one home
Him: I know. I should have. I even thought about it too.
Me: You've said that before. Good rule of thumb? When you think about doing something nice for me, DO IT!

:giggle: boys

PARENTS. PARENTS EVERYWHERE. I'm going insane. It's twice as hard to do work when people's parents keep going up to you and asking where you're from, what art did you do, do you want to go out to awkward dinner with them and their child...

Awkward dinner w/ other people's parents - that's what graduation week is all about too.

Zu, hey, a few moments of time out of any sort is always nice. Especially when it involves watching a movie with your son. Hope you manage to get through the other tasks you have as soon as possible and don't involve much in the way of stress .

I've crossed three things off my to -do list (but added four more... oops), helped my son get almost everything on his list done and only had one panic-attack/meltdown. Improvement? maybe.

why don't they sell xanax over the counter yet?

UGH. Why are ALL my U2 friends either on the other side of the pond or country.

WAIL!!!!

:madwife:

I hear that, Grace

And in Canada as well!

When am I going to become that
RICH Artist so I can
fly around the country/ or pay for a central meeting place (city/hotel) for us to get together.

:shifty:

mayyyyyyybe when I create enough work to get it OUT there! Le :sigh: :D

I will persevere!!! :fist: :D

Yeah, every job seems to have its uptick season. But hey, it gives employees something big to do and focus on. What sorts of events are you guys looking at doing?

Hahahaha, that is COOL. Yay for moms . My mom likes U2 as well. My sister recently took a list of songs my mom likes and made a CD for her, and one of the songs on there was the version of "Summer Wine" Bono did with the Corrs. My mom loves their version of that song. She says Bono sounds really sexy on it.

Congrats on your REALLY good seats for the Coldplay show! Nice! So far my friends and I are still looking at the Chicago show, but man...Minneapolis sure sounds tempting as well.

We're kind of the middle man for all the non-profits and charities in the city. So we find volunteers for whatever events they are putting on. For this month we have a lot of homeless shelter ones and we have a winter carnival as well.

He does sound really sexy in that song

I'm selling a pair of seats for that show so if you decide to go to Minneapolis, PM me about tickets

Yep 2, with a possibility of 3 if there are some amazing seat ticket drops for the first Toronto show :sexywink:

 Good one!

i got some butterfly confetti from the very first time we saw them. It's in my scrapbook along with pics of the concerts. Daz, if I have some left over (I think I do) I'll send it to you.

It was so cute! K was on speaker phone with me as we were getting the tickets, so she got to hear how excited we were. The first thing she said was she wanted to get some of that confetti.

Not a bad choice for her first concert.

Men are so dense sometimes. :crack:

I'm glad he had such a great time though!

I think Coldplay was Owen's first concert too. Or maybe U2 - now I can't remember which was first.

Aw, Tara, I'm so sorry. :( Poor baby. Cats with disabilities adapt incredibly well. He'll still have one good eye, and won't have to put up with the misery of the other one being sore all the time. Maybe he'll be better off?

I care because she had a daughter and she was so young. I heard she had battled with drugs (thanks Bobby Brown). She was once an amazing voice.....it's sad.

I think it was more shock since she was out of the public eye.

Sorry about your cat, Tara. Hopefully the vet can help him.

Yes. *is calming down a bit*

More than likely I will get him back tomorrow. If he comes out of the anesthesia okay, that is. *crosses fingers*

I think it's a shock for me not to have my cat, because I'm very rarely away from him. We're very attached to each other. :reject:

Sorry to hear about your cat Tara

I feel for you

Thanks

One of the few times I'm actually  about someone like her.

She was a beautiful soul with a beautiful voice....and even though she will be missed here on earth...heaven now has an angel amounst them.

Nicely said.

Fright Night was good. I loved it. Made me realize how much I miss seeing David Tennant.... *must buy new copies of Doctor Who*

I know what you mean. I'm lucky to be 6 hours from a few of them, and still a little jealous of them for being so close to one another.

Well, hopefully Comet will be there (and maybe her daughters?) and then I've talked to Nic and Dev and Kathie (RedKat) and Lila and Diana (TrojanChick) and a few others - not everyone is the uber planner that I am though, and several of them are up in the air still.

The night before I'll prob have dinner with a few friends too (one who lives in Australia and will be traveling thru LA at the same time).

I'll be there! (just me) Looking forward to it! :hyper:

OMG Tiny Hippo!

 for the kittehs.

Sad about Whitney Houston, but not surprised.

Tara, your kitty will be fine.

Some good news: Just saw that the saxophone player for Bruuuuuce's tour will be Clarence's son Jake. How cool is that?
