Regine charming on stage? I think I might live in an alternate universe from you Lem.

Must be. I've seen them twice, and both times she was a workhorse, singing passionately on every song and kicking ass on every instrument she touched (which is the vast majority of what's onstage). I don't know where they would be without her, in spite of the fact that they have like 8 people onstage at once.

I'm not saying she isn't energetic and good on her instruments, she is... but when you say charming I'm thinking stage presence, which is not her strong suit (or the band in general's) IMO.

I'll probably be in the extreme minority here, but the moment that stands out to me most strongly from Funeral is her vocal on "In the Backseat." And I think that she completely steals The Suburbs on "Sprawl II." The vocal performances in those songs are laden with emotion. She may not be as technically gifted as some other female vocalists out there, but her investment in the songs is always striking to me.

There's a remastered version of "Staring at the Sun," my all-time favorite track of theirs, on it.

I forget about that one sometimes. Everybody loves the shit out of that song, and I'm positive it's been on DI at least twice.

Bear in mind, the second time I saw them was at Lollapalooza, which means they were playing to at least 30,000 people and really happy see us. Win probably did have a boner, wasn't close enough to tell.

Danger Mouse is being "secretive." AKA probably has no idea that he's involved with U2 right now.

Also, OONTS x600000000000000.

Paul McG said they're finishing it for a May release, and Bono said the DangerMouse project was the one they were going with. Bear in mind that this was at the start of the Down Under tour, and they've all been mum since then.

Also, to add, if Paul McG is to be believed, the recording is done and it's just the polishing/finishing touches to work on now.

But seriously, who knows.

I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that I found about an inch of dust inside of my fan and I can now watch videos on my computer again

Yeah, with this band, "polishing/finishing touches" could take years.

Didn't they work on Stand Up Comedy for like 9 months or some crazy shit like that?

That was recording new versions of it... hopefully they're talking mixing this time around instead.

I dreamed about Dan Fogelberg last night.

No more Charles Bronson movies before bed. :tsk:

:yikes:

my dad used to play some fogelberg tape, probably a best of for all i know, over and over in the car when i was about 8 or 9, and it was such a happy, happy, truly happy day when that tape mysteriously :shifty: disappeared.

i can't forget tv on the radio exists. anytime i talk to my brother, he has to mention how great they are. yeah, they're good. but not in my top 5 all time favorite bands like they are his.

Yeah, they're great but one of those bands where more of the time I'm more annoyed by how much people talk about them than enjoying them.

No.
