let me know if anyone has any questions about Gillette stadium policies and such and what is allowed in the stadium, cuz I've worked as an usher, screener, ticket-taker, etc. at the stadium[/QUOTE]
I have a few questions:
Do they actually enforce the rule about not lining up anywhere on the premises til after 9AM (or whatever time they specified)?
Is it permitted to bring a cooler/food/beer for while you're in line? (I know none of that's allowed in the stadium.)
What's their smoking policy on the field? (I know that in the seats smokers have to use the designated areas.)
Thanks.

one week to go!!!

Anyone have 2 9/21 GA's for sale in this thread still? I thought i saw somebody had 2 ga for sale but i dunno if it was in old thread or what.. Some friend an her boyfriend i know will be coming with cash in hand.

i have 2 that i'm trying to unload. send me a message here! :)

The ADA sections are basically platforms at the top of every other or so section. There are about 10-15 foldable chairs set-up. This is kind of a tricky issue always, because sometimes you get a section that is empty, so people who don't have ADA tickets but have mobility issues are allowed to sit there with their family/friends, but other times the seats are all filled. Technically, the ADA platform is for the one person with the handicap and one other family/friend. I think you will just have to see how full it is, but I'm guessing you will PROBABLY be able to find a spot for at least you and one other person, and if not the platform right above your section, then 1 or 2 sections over.

Thanks again! I plan on taking it real easy this week to get my foot to heal so I won't be hurting on Sunday (which will be 1 month from the day I broke it)

Also doing my sun dance all week....NO RAIN!!!!!

Went to the car dealer this morning and the part I need for my car is not under warranty:sad:. It is going to cost over $900 to get a new one, but fortunately they can fix it on Thursday

unfortunately I have no idea about the lining up, Gillette Stadium doesn't have very many concerts in the first place, especially not GA. I know country fest had a small section of GA, but I don't think they had people lining up really early (at least not to my knowledge). So your guess is as good as mine, I'd really like to know that too; I actually think I might try to e-mail someone from Team Ops whose higher up in the food chain lol and see if I can get an answer. Unfortunately those guys get tons of e-mails and who knows if they'll answer. I'll let everyone know if I find anything out!

Again I don't know about the food/drinks in line either since usually people aren't waiting in line for long periods of time. Usually security tells people to throw away drinks once they start heading toward the ticket area, but I'm sure at least food will definitely be ok, and drinks, as long as you are not rowdy and intoxicated! But then again, I'm not entirely sure about the drinks.

And smoking is only in the designated areas- the ramps, even if you are on the field. You can either walk up the stairs in the 100s level and head to the ramps, or exit where we will enter the floor area, and the ramps are right there.

and YAY forecast right now for sunday: mostly sunny 10% chance of rain only. Lets hope it stays that way.

GAs for 9/21

Jesse,
I still have 2 GA's for 9/21..if you're interested, PM me.

Question...I just bought tickets from Ticketmaster on Sat. Surprised that they still had tickets. I chose 2 GAs from the drop down menu, and the e-mail confirmation said FLD 2tickets. That's GA, right?

Parking outsite stadium

Just wanted to get any info on parking lots close by, but not in the stadium parking lot. We're bringing our two kids to the show, so not doing GA obviously, and we're looking to avoid as much post-concert traffic as possible. I think it's easier to get out from the other lots, correct? Also, are they always open for every event? Does anyone know how much it is to park in these lots? Is it easy enough to walk from them and go to Patriot's Place in the afternoon? We're probably getting to Foxboro at 3pm. Thanks for any info.

Dammit, everyone's got extra GAs for Monday. ;)

ONLY 6 DAYS, BABY.

I just discovered this U2 ticket trade on FB..maybe it will help those of us desperate to sell extras! Is it me or is it odd to see so many extra tix for U2 in Boston? I know for me the issue is logistics/cost/proximity to the rescheduled NJ show but I'm definitely wondering what is up with the surplus this tour.

Ugh, Facebook. (Thank you though.)

It's really odd to me. I guess it's because it's a bigger venue and a weekday, but come on! I never imagined it would be *hard* to find someone looking for tickets, nor that *ticketmaster* would still have them. I've never been to Boston, but it's supposed to be such an awesome crowd place and all, idk, maybe there just aren't enough of those people. :/

Sorry I think I am just not a good cut and paster, I may have posted my friend's page who I was chatting to on FB...

I was thinking that too...the weekday issue...but still...I've been to Boston but Foxboro isn't Boston...I know that's the problem for me...I have been trying to figure out a way to get up there from NYC and logistically it's just a nightmare without a car...b/w hotels, the bus, taxis...this $57 GA ticket might cost me over $600 if I end up going...which I'm just not prepared to do...I mean, I could've gone to one of the European shows for that kind of cash.

Yeah, I think it's the combination of weekday + Foxboro instead of Boston. I think if the concert was held at the TD Banknorth Garden (what used to be Fleet Center) we would see more demand for tickets. I'm thinking there are a lot of U2 fans willing to travel between cities or even countries, but only if the venue is in center city or easily accessible by public transportation. I know that played a part in my decision on which shows to go to.

And now since they moved up the NY show to Wednesday, I probably won't be able to come to the second show in Boston. Too many weekday shows. I wished I work at a place that would allow me to swap shifts instead of burning my vacation days...

Thanks for the replies...

My friend is actually not showing up until about 5:30 PM on monday an we will be inside already i think. It's too risky to hold tickets that long. Think she might do ticketmaster instead an get em at will call instead. Shes just a casual fan.

Try and sell em on ebay, craigslist, stubhub, or http://www.viagogo.com/ ?

She (or someone) could also come down on Sunday and pick 'em up...

Yeah, it is a problem, but not insurmountable! Just inconvenient. :/ We still might have to rent a car for Monday, depending on what happens. (If anyone's able to carpool from Boston/Cambridge, I'm still looking!)

Rain or shine, it is going to be AWESOME.

SIX DAYS MOFOS!!!!!

My boyfriend's a weatherman so I've been driving him crazy w/ questions about what Sunday's gonna be like; he says this weekend is a particularly tough forecast and something of a crapshoot at this point, and that's why they keep changing the forecast. I asked him to keep an (obsessive) eye on the Foxboro weather details for me, so I'll post when there's more info.

No worries...I actually have them listed on all of those sites except Viagogo...thanks for the tip. There really is quite a surplus this time around.
