Amy how's the weather? 10 day forecast looks like lots of showers and rain expected!

I'm also pissed hearing the Claw stage is gonna be at the other end of the Pitch so our seats that were in GREAT location are now crap.

Wait, whatt????? I didn't know about this.... so it's not on the Hill 16 side?? We paid a bunch of $$ for the seats close to the stage, and now they're moving it AWAY from the most expensive sections?

bring a light coat, it's chilly here.

sitting across the laffe from The Clarence Hotel owned by The Edge and Bono in an internet cafe typing to you all watching the traffic and waiting on the rain to drift away.

I'm falling in LOVE with this city.

Really? Chilly? Im leaving in 4 hours better regroup....

just want to wish all the travelling interferencer's a good journey and have fun
I will be heading down on Friday to Dublin from Belfast in the bus with the daughter and hubby for the concert we are lucky enough to have friends in Dublin who are putting us up overnight and driving us back and forth to the venue that night, I still can't believe its now less than a week away :hyper:

Weather's 10 day forecast looks to be like high temp 64 degrees and nights 48to 53 degrees with clouds and chance of rain daily, showers several of the nights. Better have a jacket, umbrella and/or rain poncho folks!

I'm ready to go for a nap (can't sleep on planes) then I'm outta here. Hope to see some of you "over there"! I wish everyone a safe journey, take loads of pics to share once we're back but most of all make special memories!

Slainte!

In transit!

Hi to all...Waiting in Toronto...Safely ensconced in the Premium Lounge at TO intnl terminal 3...Treated myself to lounge given the 6 hour layover....Next stop Dublin!!...Only 4 days to Croke 1...wow!...See you all Thursday (if not sooner) - Gravity bar at 2:00 p.m....Messrs Maquire Thurs evening...:applaud:

i drove past the stadium earlier and the claw is up.
i thought there were 2 stages on tour, so is it possible they could have taken down in berlin and brought to ireland and put up in less than 48 hours?!

I made up my mind to do the full GA experience and get as close to the front as possible (being 5 foot zero has its viewing disadvantages)! I don't know where all the NI fans are hiding, every time I tell others I like U2 the look of disgust mixed with pity crosses their faces, so it's good to know there are others up north!

4 days! :hyper:

I know the feeling im not much taller than that myself, so if i get some giant in front of me im screwed. Lol, I guess im not the only one who gets that reaction then. Its usually closely followed by some comment about how much of an arsehole/prick/eejit Bono is.

I cant believe its only four days away

Forecast Update

Friday: Day - 4 hours of rain, Night - 1 hour of rain high of 17 low of 10
Saturday: One hour of rain in the night, high of 18 and low of 10

I Have Arrived...

I made it!....Landed in Dublin, right on time at 8:00 a.m. in a torrential downpour....Rained for a couple of hours and now as I sit waiting for my room the sun has come out and is turning out to be a very nice day...

So this is it...Ran into some other Canadian fans at the end of my flight...Lots of people coming from everywhere for the shows...

And in the few hours I have been here you can tell Dublin is buzzing about the concerts this weekend...Articles in the Dublin papers today...Talking about the concerts on the radio during the drive in from the airport...This is going to be something...

Safe travels to everyone en-route...A very weary traveller..

There are three claws I believe... So the one from Nice is probably in Dublin. There is only one stage and screen...

so, the capacity for Croke Park is 82,000 for a GAA match.

No tickets for the shows are being sold on Hill 16. Thats about 12,000 lost seats.
There should be a pitch standing attendance of around 17,000.
82,000 less the 12,000 lost Hill 16 seats plus 17,000 pitch = likely attendance of around 87,000

any one know if the roof will restrict any seats on the top tiers, and will any seats be blocked off because of over hangs?

if not the 3 nights attendance will be about 261,000!!!!

Just got an email about Friday from Ticketmaster.ie. They don't want people to start queueing up until 4pm. OK, that'll happen
