Yes they will do it, and they'll defend him saying it. Just when you think Trump has hit his lowest he goes even lower.

How about Chris Cuomo's wife? This is very irresponsible too. He will be on his show talking about what Trump said, and his wife is posting this online.

In a post on her Goop-like wellness blog Purist, Cuomo shared a laundry list of holistic methods she is using to tackle the coronavirus, including a “body charger” borrowed from a friend that sends electrical frequencies through the body, a vitamin drip done by a doctor who makes house calls to the Hamptons and what appears to be billions of milligrams of vitamins.

Yet one method rang decidedly unnatural: bathing in Clorox.

“Both days, I added 1/2 cup of Clorox to my bathwater to combat the radiation and metals in my system and oxygenate it,” she wrote of her routine.

If you’re thinking, “Um, come again?” you’re not alone. Bleach doesn’t seem like something we should be bathing in, pandemic or otherwise ― right? Right??

She is, it appears, not the only one curious about or engaging in the practice. The Clorox website is clear about where it stands on the matter: No, it is not recommended to bathe in bleach. It details a scenario in which bleach is added to drinking water as treatment ― but that’s 1/8 of a teaspoon ― and to be used only in an emergency. “Using a bleach and water solution for bathing is not approved by the EPA and should not be done,” it states.

A doctor of infectious diseases in New York state who asked not to be named for this story said he didn’t even really know what to say about what he called “not mainstream or evidence-based medicine,” but explained that while bleach is an effective tool for decontaminating surfaces like, say, a bathtub, it is not advised to bathe with, and in fact could cause more harm than good.

“In high concentrations, bleach can be noxious and irritant to your skin,” he said. “If you’ve ever touched concentrated bleach, you know it can be a skin irritant.” days, I added 1/2 cup of Clorox to my bathwater to combat the radiation and metals in my system and oxygenate it,” she wrote of her routine.

One outcome i hope for after we are out of this mess

A return to facts, logic, and reason as a leading force in society.

No more essential oils. Or claiming a spice can cure cancer.

No more balancing chakras.

Less belief in external objects or deities to solve problems.

More to education. More to introspection, meditation, kindness.

We are four months into this pandemic. Six weeks or so of lockdown (for majority of country), 50,000 deaths and will be close to 70k by next weekend.

Yet we have done nothing. Zilch. Nada. We cannot stay locked down forever. It’s just not possible and keep people employed plus their sanity intact.

The only direction forward is for the country to take this virus on the chin and roll the dice on our lungs / life.

Talk of summer temps and humidity lessening the impact seems meh to me. Singapore is pretty hot and humid at this moment and they’re going through another resurgence.

Well there's certainly a widow in Arizona who is likely to give it a shot and probably end up joining her husband as a result.

Mind boggling that a seemingly intelligent person can buy into witch doctor like remedies.

We’re going to spend all day debating the merits of injecting disinfectant into our bodies.

This will become a partisan issue

Dr. Birx screaming inside. If it was me I would have walked up to the podium and refuted him right away. Some things are worth losing your job for, I'm sure she has plenty of money.

Listening to Cuomo rip McConnell to pieces over blue “maker” states and red “taker” states is warming my heart ❤️

in 1995, there were 41,699 deaths from HIV/AIDS in the US. it was the deadliest year for the virus.

we are already 9,000 people past that from COVID, and in just under, what, 2 months?

She is one who thinks by playing his game, she’s doing the right thing by not having an actual idiot take her place.

Many have tried this and flat out failed (most of his cabinet, folks like Rex Tillerson).

I don’t know what I would do, personally. Probably dance the fine line that Fauci does.

Controversial idea to speed coronavirus vaccine gains ground

An idea that might seem outlandish at first is gaining some ground as a way to speed development of a coronavirus vaccine: intentionally infecting people with the virus as part of a trial.

The idea, known as a “challenge trial,” would deliberately infect a few hundred young, healthy volunteers, who were first given either the potential vaccine or a placebo. Those picked would be well informed about the risks.

That would allow the effectiveness of a vaccine to be determined faster than a traditional clinical trial, which would require that researchers wait for some of the participants to become infected in the course of their daily lives.

Supporters say the challenge trial could save several months in the search for a vaccine, which is widely seen as critical for people to feel confident again with social gatherings.

A group of 35 House lawmakers, led by Reps. Bill Foster (D-Ill.) and Donna Shalala (D-Fla.), a former secretary of Health and Human Services, wrote to the Food and Drug Administration this week lending their support to the idea.

“Our situation in this pandemic is analogous to war, in which there is a long tradition of volunteers risking their health and lives on dangerous missions for which they understand the risks and are willing to do so in order to help save the lives of others,” they wrote in the letter.

Stanley Plotkin, a renowned vaccinologist who helped invent the rubella vaccine, also endorsed the idea in an article in the journal Vaccine, along with Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at New York University.

They wrote that the vaccine trial process “normally takes months to years, during which [coronavirus] will infect and possibly kill millions. Acceleration of that standard process is necessary.”

Older people have been among the biggest casualties of the coronavirus globally, while younger people have generally shown a higher chance of recovery.

Older people have been among the biggest casualties of the coronavirus globally, while younger people have generally shown a higher chance of recovery.

It would be a sharp break from precedent to do a challenge trial for a virus with no known cure that is as deadly as the coronavirus. Even if the volunteers were all young and healthy, that would not entirely reduce the risk of serious illness.

Despite the risks, experts in support of the idea said they had already heard from people willing to volunteer.

A website set up to recruit volunteers, called 1 Day Sooner, says it has already had more than 2,000 people sign up.

“People volunteer for the military, they volunteer to become emergency medical technicians,” said Marc Lipsitch, a professor of epidemiology at Harvard University who co-wrote an article in the Journal of Infectious Diseases in support of the idea. “All of those carry medical risks for the benefit of someone else and people do it.”

Foster, the lawmaker who helped lead the supportive letter, said in an interview on Tuesday that he hoped the message from lawmakers would help the FDA realize that there is “understanding from Congress” that somewhat more risks need to be taken to develop a vaccine faster.

“We should move the risk benefit optimization a little in favor of more rapid and riskier vaccine approval,” he said.

If a vaccine can be ready “even a month earlier,” he added, “then there will be tens of thousands of people whose lives have been saved.”

Overall two months but just one month ago we were hovering around 500 deaths. The exponential growth took over

Add Iowa to list of states easing restrictions, on the same day they had their highest infection case

I just assumed that the Chinese would be the first to come up with a vaccine because their government has about zero interest in human rights so they will be willing to cut down on protocol time, testing numbers and so on.

Plus they had several months head start and they may well know every ingredient in the actual virus.
