Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final takes place on this night in Vancouver (5pm pst). We need to ask the band if they can switch the screen over to the hockey game at least until Lenny comes out. :D

I think half the stadium will be glued to their smartphones, watching the game.

This fan sure as hell will be! Well, not really, but I will be getting a friend to text me updates, since I don't want to pay for data in the States.

I was so absolutely paranoid that I'd miss several games while I'll be in Seattle. I was so relieved to hear that I'll just be missing one game while I'm there. :)

If I were you Cori I would totally go for the front row!!! You will regret it if you don't!
And you've seen it already further back so why not get in Bono's face this time!!!! hahaha!:heart: Bono sweat. ha! He's too far away though even from the fans on the rail isn't he? How do people get pulled up on stage anyway? It looks like they need stairs to get up there!

I was wondering about that, too. I'm guessing security people just kind of hoist them up there.

But no, I wouldn't regret it. I mean, I'll still have a great time on the rail. We'll have to play it by ear. If our numbers aren't high enough to get us to the front, there's nothing I can do about that.

I said I'd report that here just to prove that you can't trust the forecasts for Seattle for that far out, as someone the other day saw a forecast that said rain on the 4th.

This.

I remember last year, the initial Seattle weather report called for a reasonably nice day. Then that weekend, Seattle got the coldest summer weather in a long while.:crack:

Oh come on, you know people, I know you do!!! You just have to dance like you did in Vegas and we'll be escorted right on in to the front.

You make that sound so ....... scandalous. :shifty:

Nothing going on at Qwest yet. Walked around a bit on the way to the bus, to see how close to anything I'd be able to get to take pictures.

not very close.

Someone said a week before, yeah. I was right near there for happy hour with friends, so I figured I'd mosey by on my way to the bus.

I'm such a huge hockey fan that I would have given up my U2 tickets to go to that game. :reject: But then again I'd never have the kind of money needed to afford to go a final round game...

That's a good idea, though - I'm sure someone I know has a portable radio I can borrow. Listening is even better than getting texts about the score!

Actually have ticket in hand now, picked it up earlier (gimping around on bad knee and all).

I have to wait to see specialist tuesday, getting it wrapped and some crutches tomorrow to help get around. I dont think I will need them, but its a holiday weekend and its gonna be better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them. Doc this morning xrayed, and checked out knee, and its in pretty bad shape. Cross my fingers that its nothing thats gonna require surgery.

I will be Ok for the show, am not gonna miss it thats for sure.

Can you maybe bring a portable human cannon to the GA line? Instead of having to hobble across the field on crutches in the hopes of getting a close spot, can you just have someone shoot you over the gates?

You might even land on the stage. YOU WIN!! :hyper:

Hope you won't need surgery. That's no good.

Take care of yourself, pdxracer.

I don't know how late O&T serves food, to be honest.

Let me see what I can find for places that are serving food late.

I know there are a bunch of smaller restaurants in Pioneer Square that are open late because of the bar crowd. I know there's a pizza place in particular that's not far from Owl & Thistle.

There are LOADS of food options for those of us hanging around Friday and in line on Saturday. Within walking distance, there are fast food options like Jimmy John's and Quizno's (I think that place is still open), there's a deli that's right by the train station, a few Starbucks, and then some more sit-down places, both in Pioneer Square and in the International District.
