I stayed farther up the Strip this last trip. Advice on the Deuce (bus): sometimes it's awesome and you wait like 8 minutes for a bus, sometimes it's crap and you wait 45 min for a bus, watching 3 busses go the other way while you wait. Leave early if you have a deadline to make.

I'm debating between Horseshoe and Linq: which is better?

Linq is a bit more, but its also a little closer to the Sphere. Also, I think the monorail stop is there as well (not to mention the promenade, etc).

You can't take the monorail from Linq to Sphere. Linq/Harrah's is the closest monorail stop to Sphere.

Linq is about a 15 to 20 minute walk - slightly longer if you have GA and need to walk outside vs. cutting through the pedestrian bridge connected to Venetian.

Horseshoe is the old Bally's. Both hotels would be considered mid-tier to low mid-tier. Surprised to hear Linq is actually more money - but these things fluctuate.

Linq would be a little more modern and the casino floor, while small, typically will have a younger, livelier vibe. It's very basic - but is typically clean and not overly worn. You're not getting luxury at either place - but they should both be functional, especially if you're not spending a lot of time in the room.

true story.

the RTC app should have live tracking to help make it easier. road construction with F1 and Super Bowl certainly made traffic a tad unpredictable throughout this run of shows.

I forgot to add WHY the 8 minutes was awesome--I saw a bus I couldn't make as I was walking to the stop, and *then* only had to wait 8 min for the next one. They "advertise" it as every 15-20 min.

I stayed at the Linq in November. My room was very basic-small and clean. Had no time to visit the casino. Only met one employee there who answered a question I had accurately.

The check in process was awful, huge line and the kiosks were not good and no one there to help you. I'm not a demanding hotel guest at all, just want the simple things to go as smoothly as possible. Don't believe they have online check in, maybe they do but I went from the airport to Sphere to get my wristband first.

Back in November all the Formula One construction was going on, so the walk while short was not easy. Should be much better now.

I recommend the LINQ. Zero problems when I stayed there in December and pretty centric. Self check-in kiosk lines were long, but it was rodeo week. Rooms were clean enough and housekeeping responds quickly.

We used the monorail from Ling/Harrah's station to go down to Park MGM (only non-smoking casino). Monorail was fine, easy to use, no long waits. Got off at MGM Grand and cut through MGM and across the street.

yea the Linq is kiosk only check in. there's no check in desk - other than for Diamond level Caesars Rewards members i believe.

you can check in using the Caesars Mobile App - at which point you can skip the lines and go straight to the priority check in kiosks to print your keys.
