Few days ago I still was hooked to "All I want Is You". But since yesterday, I used winamp from the PC of my lover, and re-discovered his favourite song "Can't Help Falling In Love".

Gawd! gave me some chills and from that moment I just LOVE IT!
"All I Want Is You"

"I don't know you,
But you don't know the half of it..."
Why Should I Cry For You by Sting is really amazing. Actually, I think he wrote it for his father, but it comes across as a romantic love song too.

Jeff Buckley's Last Goodbye
Led Zeppelin's Thank You
Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over

Many others...

You've got to cry without weeping
Talk without speaking
Scream without raising your voice
"Been Alone So Long" by Peter Hammill

"You're amazing!"
Bono, Cologne, 01-7-13
'In Your Eyes'-Peter Gabriel

'Wicked Game'-Chris Isaac

'I'm On Fire', 'Jersey Girl', 'I Wanna Marry You'-Springsteen

"Nothing Compares 2 You'-Sinead O'Connor

'I Will Remember You' 'Hold On'-Sarah McLachlan

'Wonderful Tonight'-Clapton

U2-All I Want Is You, Love Is Blindness, If You Wear That Velvet Dress
"If You Don't Love Me (I'll Kill Myself)" - Pete Drodge

ok, well not exactly conventional, but very funny nevertheless

that and,

"Laid" - James

sorry, again I think I misinterpreted your question

Oh gosh there are so many songs that I could put down here, but here is just a few that come to mind right now....

All I want is you- We all know who sings this one

Somebody's crying- Chris Isak

Sexual Healing- Marvin Gaye and the Ben Harper cover

Bluebeard- The Cocteau Twins

Loves me like a rock- Paul Simon

Three days- Janes Addiction

How to make gravy- Paul Kelly
Ultraviolet, hands down.

Please repeat the message, it's the music that we choose.
the power of love (frankie)
i wanna know where love is (foreinger)
purple rain (prince)
all i want is you
coming back to life (pinkfloyd)
my guitar lies bleeding in my arms (bon jovi)
ive got you under my skin (like you dont know)

Be careful where you aim cause where you aim you just might hit
Well it depends on what you mean by love. "The way you look tonight" is my favorite love song.... but "Let's get it On" is the best do it song ever.

I can't believe someone else loves that depeche mode song. It is amazing, especially when the backing vocals kick in near the end. Wow.

Otherwise, love is blindness has my votes.

In the stillness of the evening
When the sun has had its day
I heard your voice whispering...
Fleetwood Mac - Songbird
R.E.M. - At My Most Beautiful
Palace Music - Give Me Children

Shake it, shake it, shake it

I prefer:
-The Prodigy: Diesel Power
-Nirvana: Scentless Apprentice
-Death in Vegas: Aisha
-Smashing Pumpkins: Fuck You (An ode to no one)
-Marily Manson: Irresponsible Hate Anthem

And other sensitive, touching and softly elevating tunes that seem to fit to candlelight dinners. The named ones came to my mind first when I read the topic.
