Sounds like Mittens will vote for witnesses and that there might be others turning after the Bolton reports.

Also, Moscow Mitch is pissed that the WH didn't let him in on the fact that this would all come out. I guess "total coordination with the WH" is only a one way street. [emoji1787]

Mitt is just as in this for himself as Donald Trump is.
True but where he could hurt the GOP is that Mitt doesn't "need" this job. He might be swayed less by the fear if losing Trump's base than others. Plus, Utah is a very religious state and don't like their Presidents paying off porn stars.

Fucking turn on him, GOP, you trash moral cowards. Seriously. I get that maybe they fear their voters in a primary, but for god’s sake, it’s so egregious at this point.

My point is... don’t be surprised if mitt is happy to be embarrassing Donald but in the end he “sees all the evidence and nothing is there.”

My money says Mittens is getting back at Donald for the Secretary of State fiasco.

Romney is way, way more popular than Trump in UT.

Romney was also very publicly shamed by Trump. We all remember that photo of the two of them having dinner. I've always thought that he would wait in the wings, then come to pick up the pieces with the usual "conservatism isn't wrong, DJT was not a conservative" shit they ram down our throats. And even so, he'd still be 1000x better than Trump.

Mr. "I got a massage, fully clothed, by some old hag at Jeffrey Epstein's house" should really slink away in shame forever.

It's why John Bolton's testimony is crucial. He's a conservative rock star. The spinning of all of these fucking Republicans who have gone against Trump into members of the deep state has been laughably obscene - but that's near impossible with Bolton.

If Bolton gets up there and burns the house down, it gives the GOP an out. Doesn't mean they take it... but it gives some of them the opportunity to go back home and say "I mean I didn't want to, but hey, John Bolton!"

It's kinda like Mueller, if Mueller would have had the balls to actually say the thing that his report said in a way that anyone without a law degree or hundreds of hours of reading time could actually understand.

Lol, well he's never met a media spotlight that he didn't love. He's trying to argue that even the Bolton stuff, if true, doesn't rise to the level of an impeachable offense. It's just insane to me.

Trump actually claimed yesterday that he "never said anything" to Bolton. Bolton knows about all of it, and I want to hear it from him as a witness. These spineless Republicans should want to hear it too.

Lol

@FullFrontalSamB

It’s smart of John Bolton to hide evidence in a place where the president will never be able to find it - a book.

As a woman it's tough to put into words how troubling the "laughter in the room" is. Given the fact that Trump is surrounded by men. Yes men.

It’s humorous that content continues to be posted about Bernie, but not actually about Bernie. Some democratic donor with a bunch of money travels with security now and we are supposed to buy into some big conspiracy that Bernie is requesting these people be harassed lol

:eyebrow: i don't think anyone here is saying that.

But if a swath of Bernie supporters are going to "sit it out" if he is not the Dems nominee then screw them, too!
Progressive ideas include a more equal playing field, more inclusion, good health care for all, hopefully way less racism, sexism, pro immigration, being pro LGBTQI, safety in the workplace, pro environment, and dealing with climate change and renewables, etc

Not adding in their votes will help drumph win, cause even further backsliding. :gah:

Ken Starr, who impeached someone for lying about a bummer, is attacking the idea of impeachment.

This is where we are.
Yeah, talking about the Dems "lowering the bar" for for impeachment! :lmao:

Frum's point in the article is that Bernie has never been challenged. Ever. He doesn't handle criticism well. Trump and the GOP don't play by any rules.

He'll hammer Bernie every which way.

Do you honestly believe Bernie has it in him to handle it?
I hope so! He and Biden should be having mock debates w "trump".

One of my dreams is to have Warren at the podium and trumph trying that stalkerish walking behind her (like he did w Hillary), and her whipping around and saying "get the heck (or hell) away from me!".

We really should be talking about this more.
Hey, I brought it up Sunday night once i got a chance to be on wifi. Trump & Co can't t just wish him away. He was picked by them.

One of drumph's lawyers said "an undisclosed (ooops, i forgot) ________. (manuscript?)1
And I'm going it a fucking book soonto be published!

Moscow Mitch doesn’t have the votes.

Yet.
It's likely just a delay of the inevitable, but it does set up the scenario where the GOP has to hang themselves by dismissing the testimony of a direct witness who also happened to be as republican as they come.

Dismissing all of the law enforcement conservatives like Mueller and Comey is doable because law enforcement, by their nature, will inevitably be more non partisan. Bolton's a moustachioed horse of a different color.

WNYC's Brian Lehrer had a great show today (and he has a daily impeachment podcast, too). He had on Nate Silver, and later Paul Krugman. Oh, and before them he had justice columnist from The Nation, and Exec Ed AboveTheLaw.com Ellie Nastal who had a lucid and funny talk back to the Republican's Impeachment presentation of yesterday (Mon).

Dershowitz looks totally unhinged on CNN. Why do they keep having him on?
