People fall over that because it's completely irrelevant! They're a cover band, they are bound to play things differently but we are NOT talking about their music in this topic. We're talking about how fucking awesome it is that Adam and Edge decided to randomly show up to a coverband performance and JOINED THEM ON STAGE.

So your negative nancy comment is raining on the parade, not following the rest of the thread and that is why people fall over it. Not because you are not allowed to ask questions (though tempting idea that is), but because you're being a jerk in an otherwise very happy topic. I'll leave in the middle whether or not it is intentional, but at least now you can be aware of it. Context is important.


And to answer your question, funnily enough this is the original drum pattern for Streets. It's a bit off by a couple beats, but it's what Larry plays on the album. Just with a different sounding snare.

Yes, you are right. Everyone is excited here, because IT REALLY IS exciting. I find it exciting, awesome, moment of life experience, too... It´s been said plenty of times in posts here. I agree with it.

But when I listened to the audio I noticed something I was curious about and since one of the band´s close persons posts here, I dared to ask the question. I knew I stepped with it outside the general excitement zone, but my curiosity was stronger. :)

Now I ask you a question. Have you ever wondered about the way certain song is played and have you discussed it over here? I guess so...

It's okay you asked the question, just the way you asked is the thing people have issues with. if you had first said something positive, like you just did that you agree that it was awesome, and then ask your question, people wouldn't be as offended. Or just make a bit of a joke out of it, like the drummer was obviously nervous, judging from the odd drum pattern on Streets. Or something like that. Just try to keep up with the mood of the topic. :)

And yea, I do wonder about that, and I immediately notice when one of our boys make a mistake in their songs. Most of the time it's a charm, I use it to identify different bootlegs with. Yea I have a weird memory, ah well.
But I don't often listen to cover bands myself as it irks me when something is played wrongly or in a different way (wrong for me). I just tend to avoid listening rather than being the one to complain.

Then please post a video of you covering a song, perfectly. Or STFU about other people covering songs.

You really must have no sense of what is appropriate.

BTW, UF2 is a PHENOMENAL band but it was a fair question.

This quote reminds me of one of many artists who gets angry because they didn´t get the review they thought their work deserves. It is all matter of opinion. Music, painting, architecture, all is very subjective. If I express an opinion, it doesn´t mean it is the only one correct, so there is no need to feel insulted...

No, it's nothing like that. It's like someone criticizing someone else's fine work, when they are not willing to put themselves on the line, in the same fashion. "Those who can't do, critique?"
