love monday night football.
Geelong are still the best team in this league.
it's just impossible to predict this season. it's fucking terrific.
Choked against Brad Ottens...I mean Geelong
it's a shame, too. it seems as though the afl have decided they'd rather try to enter markets where they'd be the small fish in a big pond rather than the boss.Tasmania will never have a team. you read it here first.
i don't think the AFL's concerned, and that's primarily because of Hawthorn. think about it, about five or so years ago, they started playing there? the kids go to the games whenever they can, and who's always playing? Hawthorn. they become Hawthorn supporters.
the other thing which works against them - and this is the main reason i think it won't get off the ground - is because they had a state team, Tasmania Devils, in the VFL competition, and it died in arse.
oooh, i knew about the hawthorn deal but i didn't know they had a failed state team. that's a pretty good argument against tassie. it still doesn't really stack up now that they're going to fail in western sydney and be the last sporting league (even after basketball) to the gold coast party.i don't think the AFL's concerned, and that's primarily because of Hawthorn. think about it, about five or so years ago, they started playing there? the kids go to the games whenever they can, and who's always playing? primarily, you'd think so. but if it ever eventuated, i'd be shocked in bellerive oval didn't get a handful of games.Guess they're stuck with Hawthorn now. Though if any Tassie team would arise then they'd definitely be based in Launceston, not Hobart, m i rite?
