Maybe the DELUXE POP will be ready by the end of the 2016 shows and we will get some POP tunes then?

That will be their excuse for NOT putting out SOE, by way of putting out POP Deluxe. LOL.

Happened with AB set coming out instead of Song of Ascent.

SoE is 70% done, if not more so. They've also brought a studio setup with them so they can record while on the road.

SoA was never this complete and of course, B's back injury is what delayed the tour by MONTHS. The AB anniv would never have been such a huge part of 360 if there hadn't been a full year lost.

Into the Mystic reminds me of one of my first "U2 friends" named Laura, who loved Van Morrison as well, at such a young age. I hope she's still around and doing well :)

They rehearsed more Pop material for Vertigo and even planned a "Popcore" encore. Discotheque was the only song they played in concert in the end, but they also ran through Mofo and Velvet Dress. And it's not quite Pop, but they were also working on Daddy's Gonna Pay.
And they chickened out. Oh well. But like you said they could pull songs like Disotheque that aren't exactly deep cuts or unknowns and fans would love it. Bring out Lemon and fans would be thrilled and casuals will still know it well.

I think we will end up seeing a lot of cool additions on this tour. Maybe not crazy sweeping changes from night to night but we're gonna get a lot of cool songs that we haven't had in a LONG time or ever. The tour will evolve for sure.
