In related news, I listened to Power, Corruption, And Lies yesterday, and enjoyed it a lot more than usual. I'd still rank it below the following three studio albums (Low Life, Brotherhood, Technique) but there really are a good number of standout tracks.
Can't really connect with Ecstasy or Ultraviolence, though.
It's interesting that Blue Monday and its alt. version The Beach aren't even on the original UK pressing. When it comes to The Beatles I would never listen to the Frankensteined U.S. versions of the earlier albums, but I can't imagine this New Order album without those two.
Having said that, Leave Me Alone would be a great closer, I'm thinking. When Bernard's guitar comes to the front right before the 3:00 mark, and then goes into a nice repetitive solo and back to the main lead for the outro. Really good shit.
