yeah, i've been in a couple - i think it's that moment of suddenly feeling very exposed and vulnerable, which is the way of the creative, as i'm sure you know with your writing, but yeah, had a lovely time, and it's encouraging nonetheless, at least i know i can cut it (somewhat!) out there in the real world

You should be encouraged - it's wonderful to be recognized when you do something creative; and yes, it is also nerve-racking
