That's ok  you're always welcome to write me about anything.

I think that's very natural, btw - you're at your must vulnerable at that moment, in bed, tired, your mind goes off in all sorts of directions

Thats true. :hmm: My mind often goes in all driections during the day too. So no hope for me at night. :giggle:

God, im so tired. Gonna finsih my PM's then get to bed.

Night girls.

You seemed to be doing quite a good enough job on your own  Plus I agreed with you that a piercing there would not be very likely for him

I got sidetracked over at knitty.com, reading the feature articles *g*

I am, however, appalled at something I just read on a friend's blog - somebody nominated RUSH LIMBAUGH for the Nobel Peace Prize! :banghead:

Let's see... Bishop Desmond Tutu, Mother Teresa, The Red Cross, Medicines Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), Lester B. Pearson (also a former Prime Minister of Canada), The Quakers, UNICEF, Martin Luther King Jr, Amnesty International.... Rush Limbaugh. One of these people DOES NOT BELONG, DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE NOMINATED, and HAS NEVER DONE A SINGLE THING TO DESERVE TO BE NOMINATED!!

:madwife:  no, that is just not right at all

"foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today" *SNORT* Rush Limbaugh? WTF are these people smoking to say that, even if he IS on their board of directors? :eyebrow:

Okay, I can't resist posting this, considering the current topic of conversation

Coming from Canada, we love those leaders who personify the US way to be,
There was JFK, and LBJ, and WKRP.
But of all of these there is not one to rival the greatest genius of them all
He's a megalo with a healthy glow
He's the man called Rush Limbaugh.
(Mike)
He's a dose of P.T. Barnum
(Murray)
With a Mussolini twist.
(All)
There in the limosine, parked on the lawn,
He's a goofy Gengis Khan.

Not since Jesus Christ has the world seen someone
With such widely syndicated views
Hundreds of years from now they'll celebrate Rush-mas
And Rush-ashana for the Jews.
'Cause he'll pull the plug on femi-nazis, paranoid minorities and gays.
He's a burning bush with a network push,
Sure to start a country-wide blaze.
(Mike)
He taught me to love and praise Charlton Heston
(Murray)
Oliver North is quite a nice man too.
(All)
Forget Al and Tipper
Let's bring back the Gipper
And Joe McCarthy too!

(Mike)
I was a troubled soul, consumed by voices advocating special interest groups and vice
'Till Rush rushed to my sweet rescue
Now I'll never ever hafta think twice.

So we'll sign a check for Limbaugh-ism
Restore the moral fundamental core
We'll cut the debt,
And start a Tet
Offensive on the poor.
It's a blitzkrieg in the making,
It's distinctly upper-class (well, not everybody!)
Yes sir I'll get the door
Roll the carpet on the floor
For a man...
For a man...
For a man...
Such a man...
For a man....
With his head up his-

Ask us the name the name of the King - It's Rush!

From the Liner:
1994- We wrote this tribute upon being unable to escape this mega-media master on our
first US tour in early '94. His borderless omnipresence is underscored by recent
cathode-ray incursions into Canada. Amen.

(from Moxy Fruvous' B Album  It loses a bit since you can't see some of the actions that went along with it on stage  )

Fruvous once played that song at a music festival in Arkansas (IIRC), and from what I heard it took the people there until the second verse to realize it was satire

That reminds of another song I meant to post for you the other night - not that it doesn't apply now too

...except I now have to go find the cd, since Eddie From Ohio's website doesn't have a lyrics page :madwife:

Well what's the matter with them? :madwife:

I'm going to watch TV with my mom for a bit (Most Haunted  ) but I'll be back after 11

Atlantic

There's a channel, there's a tunnel
you can sail by train, from the English coast
There's an ocean with no tunnel
you can sail by mail, but go parcel post

There's nothing but the waves, the fish & the kelp
in between her & him
they entertained the thought about meeting halfway
but neither knows how to swim
He has a pump she has a pail
they'll empty this quarry soon
stand on a rock and see each other wave
and for now that will have to do
'til the Atlantic's dry

There's a lighthouse there's an outhouse
both rely on a torch, just different bulbs
He sends flowers - it takes hours
just to lie on her porch, they're quite different bulbs

There's nothing but the waves, the fish & the kelp
in between her & him
they entertained the thought about meeting halfway
but neither knows how to swim
He has a pump she has a pail
they'll empty this quarry soon
stand on a rock and see each other wave
and for now that will have to do
'til the Atlantic's dry

Bridge the distance, drain the ocean
pave a highway on the sandy floor
part the waters with devotion - it's just a thought

a reunion near Bermuda
they're too tired to hug, they just stand and gleam
dehydrated yet elated
& they suddenly wake, they've both shared a dream

There's nothing but the waves, the fish & the kelp
in between her & him
they entertained the thought about meeting halfway
but neither knows how to swim
He has a pump she has a pail
they'll empty this quarry soon
stand on a rock and see each other wave
and for now that will have to do
'til the Atlantic's dry

'til the airfares drop to Greyhound rates
for now that will have to do
'til Mother Earth moves and shifts some plates
for now that will have to do
'til the Crown reclaims the United States
for now that will have to do
'til Saint Peter opens up Heaven's gates
for now that will have to do
'til the Atlantic's dry
