So tonight I got home and had this great moment of triumph but also ... hubby said he had tried to put on U2360 at the Rose Bowl but couldn't get it to work. My kids look at the player and said that's because you are trying to play a Blu-ray in the DVD player. But I was all inside because OMG HE WAS TRYING TO WATCH U2! (He likes u2 but is not a huge fan and it's been a long haul bringing him over... but he's been lately ing over Bono and the wheel mic and UV... I think he has his first mancrush. )

Awww, yay for mancrushes! (And 360, I watched it today, too! ) I have a total girlcrush on Ali!

I can't count how many times recently I've had to put the Rose Bowl UltraViolet track on for him lately. He's obsessed with it. But I've turned him into a Bono fan at least, he thinks very highly of him. And he's finally learned the names of some of his favorite U2 songs. I converted my kids with U23D and now the husband with U2360. WIN!

you know i actually did work on Madison Ave for 7 months at a very small Ad Agency inn 1980.

it MM sounds intriguing.... i've gotten the impression (but not sure) it's almost like they were living in one era > the pre-Beatles/ "The 60's " 1960's VS what i became a part ("the 60's" when i was 11) EVEN as the advertising at that p time had not yet soaked up "the 60's" various styles/tropes etc

i used to look at the advertising in ? 65/66 -- it looked so "square". of course appropriating the 60's stuff wasn't necessarily the best thing either but hey...

Got a call a while ago from the specialist my mom saw last week. He did some preliminary blood work and it came back today. The numbers weren't good, and she has to have a blood transfusion early next week. Distract me with something interesting, Live Nation...
