That froze my phone. I will have to laugh/feel bad for the guy later.

I've officially now heard in person someone claim they "used to train ufc." My brain immediately exploded and began dripping out my ears. Dude, you're 5'6" and 300 lbs at 24 years old. Just stop. And do I really need to go there with the "train ufc" phrasing? Jesus fucking Christ.

Apparently there's a World Series of Fighting event tonight. I have never heard of anyone on the card, but will still maybe watch.

I kind of wanted to watch metamoris. But I had to sleep and then go to work.

So that's what I did when I got home. That was cool. Granted I'm pathetic and had only heard of Barnett, Lister, Magalaheas, and that other guy whose initials I believe may be CPS, beforehand. But it was entertaining.

this might be marginally racist, but this guy on the prelims, wang anying, every time i hear them say his name i can't help but thing of....

I was surprised to see Bisping get a finish.

Fox Sports 1 fights starting now.

Haha, right?

Reading through the results of the night card, that's a quite a few knockouts. And an omoplata on the prelims?

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. I was happy for Ben Saunders. He fought at the Bellator event I saw here in SLC, and knocked his opponent out with a freaking awesome head kick. That dude was way too good for Bellator.

Even though I didn't think it was an early stop, I still feel bad for Ben Henderson. The guy is super good, and is always willing to take the hardest fights.

I don't know why Henderson's Jesus talk bothers me, because most fighters do the same thing and I have no trouble separating their religious speeches from their fighting , but with him there's something about it that carries over and translates to me not being a huge fan. Makes no sense when he's exactly like you said, super talented and never shies away from equally tough dudes. I did get past some of that after the Khabilov fight, because even though my bias leans toward the Russians, Henderson looked like a badass. Maybe I'm just shallow and can't get past those ridiculous wings he has tattooed on his back. Or maybe it's that there always tends to be some sort of controversy after he fights, whether it's a close decision or whatever this early stoppage shit was about. I don't know, I'll probably eventually come around but I'm not there yet.

I have a character on swtor named omoplata, I was like shit I should change his name to Ben Saunders

Fox Sports one card on Friday night, and the first Invicta card on Fight Pass on Saturday.

I've watched a bunch of the old Invicta fights, seems like half of them are really good and the other half are borderline embarrassingly lopsided affairs.

That fox ufc card looks better on paper than 177 did. It's the one in ct, right? I briefly considered getting a ticket and going, but those ticket prices...there's a Bellator show at the other casino in ct the same day. Much more in my price range, but also requires a long drive I don't want to make.

You should have gone, tons o finishez.

Edit: actually judging by the date stamps, what I just said was actually fixed before that post. So if you saw it, disregard.

Speaking of which, did you watch the headlining fight from this most recent card that was streamed on Fight Pass? If not, you should.

I may have been preoccupied with Rocky marathons, and laughing at how awful the Karate Kid was (which I loved as a kid, before I was aware of bad acting), via Netflix, and forgotten about it.

I will, though. I will also watch the Japan card tonight/tomorrow morning.

War Mark Hunt, or something.

I was not expecting the main event or co-main event KO's.

U watch that Invicta fight yet?

Neither was I. I want a gif of the part where Big Country goes splat on his face/belly.

Not yet, I plan on watching it after I run some errands though, since I woke up way early today and don't have to be anywhere til 9pm.

Next weekend's card is staaaaaaacked.

Seriously. I will be taking the night off from work to watch. Supposed to be going to hooters to watch it with a couple people from work.

I remember you saying somewhere across the ancient posts of the old thread that you're a Cerrone fan. He's awesome, he's been doing awesome, and I've drank all the kool aid there is to drink hype-wise pertaining to his fight against Alvarez. Plus, I'd love to see Poirier beat up McGreggor. Cruz hasn't injured himself off the pre-lims yet, has he?

Anyone who shows up to weigh ins with a lightsaber is ok in my book.
