Absolutely. Love that he was around for so long to see how much things changed within the game in his lifetime and post career. It always depresses me a little when I am reminded that he received death threats for breaking Babe Ruth's record :rolleyes:
 
In honor, the Atlanta baseball team should change their name to the Hammers. They’d barely even have to change their logo.
 
Aaron's level of consistency is insane. He was one of the best players in baseball, year in and year out, for 20 straight seasons from 1955 to 1974. The first time he was "below average" in a season was when he was 41 years old.

So many of the legendary ones gone in recent months.
 
We got some tumbleweed action going on here in the MLB thread. Not even a mention of nobody getting the Hall of Fame call this year. Another year of no Bonds/Clemens.
