Fun thread - What the f*** are they doing?!

To celebrate my post number 100 (Yay - go PLEBA!) I thought I would start a little fun thread...

Please post all your fun pics, pics that make you think "What the f*** are they doing?!" - from any area, concert, non-concert, one band member, all four guys, whatever - as long as they look funny, are doing something funny etc. AND pleeease write a fun text to match the pic - allright?!

First of all let me clear this up right away, this is NOT Bono. We had a thread about this when it first happened. It was in an InStyle magazine back in 2001 labeled as Bono, but that same night Bono was at a different Halloween party with Gavin Rossdale dressed as a vampire. This is Patrick Stewart of Star Trek the Next Generation fame. After much research we came to this conclusion. Some things that give it away are that this guy is baldheaded underneath the wig (as Patrick Stewart is) the eyes are too small and dark, the chin is the wrong bone structure and has no famous scar, and not only are the ears not Bono's ear shape, they are not even pierced! (the original pic was bigger) 110% NOT BONO! The magazine made a mistake and we've been having to straighten this out ever since. This pic got into the U2 internet community and once a few girls put it on their tripod sites labeled as Bono everyone believed it, but it was a mistake after all, and really, aren't you glad?

BTW great idea for a thread, I love your ideas, and your location I know me and a couple other girls who will jump right in if you have room!

Oh, U2Kitten - you're SO lucky! I'm sure it was amazing to be a U2 fan at that time, when JT hit the record stores and REALLY rocked the world! Unfortunately (seen from this point of view) I was born too late to experience all of this ("Too late" being 1982)

I don't think any were ever taken by the press and made public. If there were, we'd have found them

Back in those days MTV was good and they had so much U2! I'm so glad to see so many people love this all these years later, it shows how truly great they really are!

I feel lucky to have grown up with older siblings because I was exposed to a lot of 70's rock as a kid instead of just little kid music. I'm sure the music was there but no one played it for you.

We didn't get MTV until late 84, so I missed the very early videos. I remember seeing Red Rocks on some local cable channel, that was my first view of U2 in '83. For years I never even knew Boy or October existed But in 87-89 there was so much U2 on and they played music instead of goofing around so you got to see more! There were also U2 news stories and interviews and they had a special on the outtakes.

You have such good ideas for captions, I am no good with humor but I enjoy yours!
