Queen Bee, thanks! I was laying in bed last night watching Conan and all the while there was this nagging that he'd mention U2. I'm sure I've been a fan longer than you and that was not their brightest moment, and I'm not afraid to say so. yeah, OOTS was great, like I said, but the rest was crap.

Frist of all you have no right telling me to piss off...I will post where I damn well please...second...I am intitled to my own opinion if you don't agree..that is fine by me...I could care less how long you have been a fan that has nothing to do with how much you like the music.

Was Adam really playing on Conan?

I am a bass player..so i was watching Conan , and during All Beacause of You I noticed some of the positions Adam was palying didnt match what was coming out of my Tv. During the song you can hear him sliding up the neck on certain transitions, but his hands never move. It happens twice on the song. I wonder if he was playing to a live track recorded earlier. If anybody else has it taped, check it out. Let me know if anybody else notices it.

I noticed that, but I also noticed Bono's vocals and interview not synching up completely too, so it's probably the audio going through various things before being sent out with the video signal. Watch Larry as he begins to play the drums as well, that's not synched up either.

What I want to know is who was playing the acoustic guitar during ABOY.

I loved the show! I wished Adam, Larry and The Edge would have talked more. Don't get me wrong, I love Bono. It's just that I love hearing them talk too. Larry looked so sad and bored. Heh Heh.

Edge and Larry were funny too... and now the I understand the 'secretsss' comment from Bono during the show as just
playing along with the conan humor..
I watched again my tape of the show, and I now think that really they were just fine. I mean, the late night talk show format is just generally pretty lame, so within that context it was really just fine, and the performances were fantastic.
Some of Conan's humor was annoying, but on second viewing I thought the part with bono one-on-one was actually pretty good. Sure most of us have heard bono do that bit before, but I'd bet much of Conan's audience hasn't and it was a very relaxed and articulate version of it. And I thought bono's comments on the peace prize were very nicely uttered too..
his 'secretsss' follow-up was pretty funny!
