I'm still not sick of Vampire Weekend. Such a pleasure to listen to.

There has never been a moment when I've remotely enjoyed that record. It's like all of the mockery indie rock music has received over the years finally became accurate for half an hour.

Throw the ball up, CHIEF!

I ranked the the Vampire Weekend album as my 4th favorite album of the year. Looking at my list now, I drastically overrated one of the albums, and it would probably be at #3 instead. I must have had a horrible year musically and have terrible taste.

Their new songs sound fantastic, can't wait for the next album.

Ask Screw for cover advice.

Would there be interesting results if I asked for such advice?:hmm:

Umm am I missing something they don't seem particularly good or bad, was there some drama over covers that I missed?

I like some of Khanada's though.

So there's a thread on AtEase I'm enjoying a substantial amount. It's basic premise: draw famous album covers in MS Paint, post them, laugh. Some are horrible. Some are pretty good. I'm more interested in the horrible ones.

Should we get that thread going here?

What is AtEase?

PS: How the alphabet would look without Q and R

PPS: I'm game.

PPPS: You fuckers and your XBox are making my evening boring.

The cover art for the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album It's Blitz! -

Yeah-yeah-yeahs-its-blitz.jpg

Very fucking cool. Like, egg-shatteringly cool. And the tracklist -

1. Zero
2. Heads Will Roll
3. Soft Shock
4. Skeletons'
5. Dull Life
6. Shame and Fortune
7. Runaway
8. Dragon Queen
9. Hysteric
10. Little Shadow

I should probably just make a thread for this thing, shouldn't I? Hmmm. Maybe I will. Well, the single is "Zero" and I've heard that it's out on Itunes in a few days. Don't quote me, though.

Make the thread, Imperor.

Make the thread, GAFer.

It's funny how difficult it can be to listen to some albums or songs that you associate with certain times of your life. It's like hearing the songs immediately transports you back to exactly how you felt at the time. Crazy stuff, that music shiznit.

True, but the flipside is that some songs take you back to wonderful parts of your life. Like, if I hear Wave of Sorrow, it reminds me of fighting for my life against Bloodmounts. That's just how it goes.
