In person:
I haven't been to many sporting events where anything of note occurred, but the most memorable for me was on Feb. 23, 2008 when the Montreal Canadiens retired Bob Gainey's number 23. Real classy ceremony for a real classy gentleman.
*Doesn't count as a real sporting event, but I went to the Molson Centre to pay my respect to Maurice Richard as his body lay in state at centre ice. Almost 150,000 people came to pay their respects that day, and it was done in a very peaceful, orderly fashion. I've never been more proud to be a Montrealer than on that day in May 2000.
Worst moment in person:
-last homestand for the Montreal Expos in September 2004.
