Singles in the Blue section are popping up on TM :(

No no no no noooooooooooo tickets on TM!:madwife: :madwife: :madwife:

:hmm: I got a "We’re sorry, we’re unable to process your request. Please try again." message.

I've never seen that one before.

You'd almost think I checked this specific show too many times.

Now what on earth would give them that idea??

After that I got a "There were no tickets available that matched your request."

And then I got the single(s) in the blue (2nd level).

TM acting weird again

Here some info about the ETS Luau party on Friday April 7th:

Package includes:
Friday night (April 7) U2 tribute luau event including party food
and prize giveaways
Shuttle from Waikiki Beach(where applicable)
NO CONCERT TICKET INCLUDED
Package Price: $49.95
Secret Location (Honolulu)
Dinner time: 6:00 PM
Show time: 7:30 PM

So, they say that the location is secret (ETS likes doing that lol),
but when you go to Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park web site at:
hawaiianwaters.com/

And click on 'promos and Events' in the left menu (or go directly
to: hawaiianwaters.com/promo.htm), you can read this:

"U2 fans get ready. It's the event you won't want to miss. Get
warmed up for the U2 Vertigo concert with the U2 Pre-Concert Luau at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park the night before. This official fan party features VeRTiGO USA, the world famous U2 tribute band."

So, ETS says that the location is secret, but in Honolulu. However,
Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is not in Honolulu, as far as I can
tell from this map:
hawaiianwaters.com/directions.htm

This park is in Kapolei, and not Honolulu. Yahoo Maps Driving
directions tells me:
Distance: 21.2 miles
Approximate Travel Time: 34 mins (car)

I hope this helps you to decide wether to go to the ETS party or not. Personally, I think I will prefer to continue our Happy Hour
(it starts at 4pm) and have a relaxed night in Waikiki, then a nap,
then to the GA line.

Hans

I vote for the Happy hour then nap then GA line also!
I can go to a water theme park here at home anytime.
I'd rather sink $50 into Happy Hour (geesh that's a lot of drinks!)
and dinner than a luau that's not a real Hawaiian traditional luau.

OR

I'd rather put $50 into a traditional luau.

Yeah, I think we can assume they aren't going to add one at this point. I'd imagine they would have done it right after the Grammys.

My thoughts exactly.

Hans, thanks for keeping us informed by posting that email you got from ETS.
Even though it may not be what most of us wanted to read. :(

What's a girl to do?
A second show would for sure have helped me of the fence.
Now I'm still firmly sat upon it.

:sigh:

Hahaha! That will be a fun party if we all spend $50 on drinks!

So, yes, a message to all Interferencers: we would love to see you at the Happy Hour on Friday April 7th, 4 pm (most likely) at Tiki's Grill in Waikiki.

And we're planning our own Luau for Sunday April 9th most likely.

And for those who still have doubts about coming to Hawaii, because of the 1-2 shows debate........it is going to be a BLAST, no matter how many shows :)

Hans

Thank you Hans, for the information and especially for extending the invitation. I agree about the fact we will all be in Paradise, no matter one show or two! Make the best of it and have a blast! How many times will a U2 fan be able to boast having seen U2 in Hawaii?!!!

I am interested in hearing more about the luau plans you have in the works. My friends and I would like to go to one while in Oahu, but we'd like it to be as "authentic" as possible including food, surroundings and entertainment. There are 3 major luaus advertised and I've read so many cons about each of them I'm not sure which to choose...Royal Hawaiian, Paradise Cove (I did this one in 1983) or Polynesian Cultural Center luau (no alcohol, ick-no fun!)

The Luau that we are planning would be "home-made", we have several local U2 fans in the group, and want to make it a luau as the Hawaiians do....not what the tourists do.

I will keep you informed about the plans.

My doubts ain't, because of the 1-2 show debate.
(Although I'm of the opinion that a second show would have helped a little)
It's more work and money related.

Do I want to spend the money to go a place I already went to less than a year ago (as wonderful as a place it may be), when I could go home this summer (during peak season) for almost the same amount of money to spend time with my familie and friends there.

I normally work on Saturdays and I can't just take days off. Because there is no-one to replace me.
So I have to find a substitute for myself, which is not going to be easy.
It will also give me more work, because I have to prepare them to take over my job.

I'm sure Hawaii is going to be an absolute BLAST!
No doubt.
And I agree with you that it doesn't really matter how many shows are played.
Being there in the first place and meeting and hanging out with everybody, that's what it's all about.
The u2 show is an additional bonus!

This is where you want to look for extra GAs

:D

And so long as you get your passport which meets U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements, you shouldn't have any problems with the Visa Waiver Program (am assuming you're a national of a qualifying country). You'd just have to be sure to carry with you proof of your round trip ticket, hotel information, letter of employment/from your school and maybe your tickets so you can brag to the interviewing officer

Edited: And by checking your IP I see that you are indeed eligible :shifty:

:D

Oh, so you are actually applying for a B-1/B-2 visa and not planning to enter under the visa waiver?

Then yes, that is different... You just have to make sure to bring proof of your ties to your residence abroad, financial statements, etc. :D

Good luck! :)

Not a good place for a splinter...

I call "not it" for assisting with removal if an accident were to ocurr.

I got a bunch of splinters falling out of that tree. A real pain in the ass it was.

:lmao:

Although, hang on, an accident might very well occur.
Seeing as Lila is throwing rocks at me.

Hmm, perhaps I have to ask Adam if I can borrow his superglue.
At least that way I won't fall off.
Then again, I could be stuck forever, if I do that.

Same here, same here. But I wouldn't want to have fallen off a different tree...

I'd hug you, but you know... we don't do that... so

Fits us better

So one show it is eh? Oh well.... :slant:

Which tree are we talking about here?

The Joshua Tree.

Are you telling me you climbed it, fell out of it and took the tree with you on your way down?

Why are you surprised? You only seem to know that kind of biatches...

What's wrong with you all today? I come here to find rock throwing, talk of splinters in uncomfortable places, falling out of trees, name calling, fence sitting, superglue, accidents and something about a Joshua Tree?
