Damn!!!!! U2 gets robbed again! Even the USA TODAY picked U2 to win Song Of The Year! Stuck In A Moment... is far superior to Fallin!

Cheer up people. It's only an awards show. Let's face it... a female, native New Yorker who found success playing something other than a guitar and also happens to be very young was always going to win!
 
That's why Edge got the spa pass...Larry keeps a Grammy, Bono keeps a Grammy, Adam keeps a Grammy......they needed somethin' to give to Edge since they didn't have a 4th Grammy.

So let me get this straight, ATYCLB has 3 songs that have won grammies (so far, but I'm assuming Walk On won't win for Record of the Year), has won for Best Rock Album, but is not Album of the Year.

It just doesn't make sense.

Bono and the boys I think are very disapointed and pissed and they should be.

Kind of bad when the host of the show has to say what he did after the break.

They 3 U2 won do not mean much. They are not top Grammy's.

I missed it - what did the host say?

Also, Rock Album of the Year is a decent award - not a top award - but decent.

However, as others have stated, to have THAT many Grammy winning songs from one album and NOT have it win Album of the Year is utterly ridiculous. Plus, for an album of REMAKES (can I emphasize this enough?) to win really shows what a disgrace this award has become.

You know I agree, because this IS a nice award to be given for so much hard work.

This is why I'm glad their wives/gfs are there with them, they can go out afterward and enjoy themselves, and then maybe log onto Otto's site and look at the REAL difference they made to their REAL fans. NO one else (and no movie!) can do/say that.

Listen folks, anyone who actually thought U2 was going to win Song or Record was completely off their rocker. That was only the slightest of possibilities. Hell, Record hasn't been given out yet and I suppose they might sneak away with that one, but don't count on it. And that's fine...is it awarding the best work to give it to Keys? No, I don't think so. But U2 DID win these awards last year...had to expect this to happen. Record & Song would have been great, but you were kidding yourself if you really thought they'd win those.

The travesty with no viable explanation (aside from vote splitting) is Album of the Year.
 
Hey, has India.Arie won anything? Just curious because she had so many nominations...I had never even heard of her before these nominations!

Anybody notice how India.Arie has yet to come stage to accept a win???
And she's been nominated for 7 grammys!!!

And a positive outlook for ATYCLB, its been nominated(including last year) for 11 Grammys. They've won 6 not bad...
 
I'm glad Aire lost too, but I agree with Byrd, they are stiffing them out of the ones that matter most

I know 3 awards ain't shabby, but...

I was wondering if anyone thought this disappointment to be indicative of a minor backlash brewing? With or without a Grammy victory, it's time, I believe, for U2 to slip temporarily out of the public eye.
