New York, NY August 30, 2005 – Thousands of U2 fans are getting ready to leave the ground for the highly anticipated return of U2 to North America as they kick off the third leg (V3) of the Vertigo Tour in Toronto, Canada with four sold-out shows at the Air Canada Centre. Join us at inTO the Heart 2005 as Toronto fans welcome the world with the third annual, international U2 music festival by the fans, for the fans. Hello, Hello – you won’t want to miss a thing!
Vertigo Week (September 11-17) explodes on the eve of Opening Night with the V3 ITH Launch Party in concert with ETS featuring the //Atomic Jam// at Montana’s. So you think you can play like The Edge, kill the beats like Larry or boom, boom like Adam, and yes we’ve seen you sing Beautiful Day in your car at the top of your voice. Then this is your chance to join the //Atomic Jam//, an open jam for anyone who’s had a burning desire to perform their favourite U2 song on-stage. inTO the Heart remains a non-profit event with all proceeds to benefit the ONE Campaign. We are delighted to host the Canadian U2 Fan Banner as it stops in Toronto during its cross-country trek at U2 concerts and community events in an effort to gather 100,000 signatures in support of the ONE/MPH Campaign. inTO the Heart is a festival conceived by local Greater Toronto Area U2 fan members of the U2GTA as an opportunity for fans from around the globe to meet together and celebrate not only the music, but also the spirit, passion and vibe of the world’s greatest band – U2! Entering its third year, ITH is for anyone whether they’ve been following U2 since the early 80’s or are merely a casual U2 listener. Thanks to hundreds of fans from 3 continents, our inaugural festival in 2003 was a huge success beyond our expectations. Inspired to push the limits of our partying potential, ITH 2004 was bigger and better and came as we hungered for a pre-tour U2 fix. Now fresh from back-to-back sold-out stadium shows in Europe, U2 will make Toronto Vertigo Tour Central as they kick of the second North American leg with not one, not two or three… but FOUR eagerly awaited shows in support of their latest release How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.
