U2 Fans Helping Other U2 Fans Get Tickets

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Are GA tickets 'allowed' to be released yet? Do we know how potential buyers will be able to get them?

Once all the general sales are run through, TM will set up the face-value marketplace for selling GAs. It’ll be first-come, first-served whenever tix pop up, which will be random as folks will be submitting theirs for sale whenever they decide to.

I suppose I should put this out there--on the wild chance someone wants to trade 3-4 GAs for December 15th or 16th for my 3-4 for December 9th, let me know.

Helping a good friend

HAVE: 2 x Dec 16 GA

NEED: 2 x Dec 15 GA

We’re all going in both nights so zero issues

Not sure if this will help but I have 2 for 12/16 and only plan to use one, hoping to swap for 12/15 so if our 2+1 can work for making a deal with someone that has 3 or something then fingers crossed.

No I mean I would rather just trade privately than put it back in the Fan Face Fuckery Pool, or whatever it's called.

I know the login workaround but I don't think it's necessary if I'm in the building.

Quite right

Well I’ve been waitlisted twice and it might be difficult to find anything on Ticketmaster from tomorrow onwards. I’ll keep trying, but I’ll go ahead and put my requests here.

In search of:

1 P1 or P2 ticket for Friday, December 15th and Saturday, December 16th. Ideally, I would like to have a ticket in the 100 level one night and 200 level the next one.

With the exception of those infamous lower level obstructed view seats, I’m willing to sit or stand anywhere else as long as I’m in the room. GA would be my very last choice, though.

A huge thank you in advance to anyone who’s willing to help us fellow fans. :hi5:

Looking for a pair of seats anywhere for the Friday Sept 29th show. We have tickets for the Friday Dec 1st show to trade. Seats are in Section 405 Row 12. Have 4 tickets together. Willing to trade my 4 for 2 tickets to Sept 29th.

Anybody try to participate in the Ticketmaster Verified Fan sale today? I already have my GA for Dec 16th using my U2.com membership. Was hoping to get another ticket for the day before while in town (15th).

But when I tried to join the queue, I got the following message: "The account you’re using is not linked to this Verified Fan sale. To continue, please switch accounts and sign in with the same account used during your Verified Fan registration." And I have registered as a Verified Fan and am getting the emails, etc.

Did you get the text last night or today telling you that you were in and with your presale code? :hmm: I have never been taken off the waitlist, so just going off of what I have seen online.

I didnt get any code (via email or text), lol. I do get the emails about the verified sale though, and I am registered. Is there a way for us to check our accounts to see that we have the "Verified Fan" status for these U2 shows?

If you didn't get a text last night or today, then I guess you are stuck on the waitlist with the rest of us. You likely received an email yesterday telling you that you were still waitlisted. If you try to go on ticketmaster and try to access the VF sale today, it will tell you that "this sale is for verified fans" and "the account you're using is not linked to this Verified Fan sale..."

That is your confirmation that you are a plebeian like the rest of us. Sorry.

Just registering doesn't grant you access to the sale. You would have gotten a subsequent email saying you were "verified", then texted an access code as Miroslava said,

Most of us registered for the sale. Few (very few) were actually "verified" and selected to participate in the sale.

Yup, you're right and I did receive that email yesterday (about being on the waitlist). Damn...thought all registered VFs would get access. So glad that at least U2.com pulled through for my GA on Dec 16th!

Thanks for the help, appreciate it! :)

I have two tickets available for Saturday October 28.

Sec 303, Row 19, Seats 3 and 4. $267.88/ea, total $535.76

Will transfer via Ticketmaster. At the current time, must buy both tickets.

I'm older than Bono, (I call him sonny when I run into him) and I don't use a smartphone, so I don't have any cash apps. The only way to pay is via PayPal or some method that would allow you to xfer straight into my Bank of America account (if you have a BoA account, or an account with a bank that uses Zelle, this is simple). If you're younger than Bono and know of some other payment method that doesn't involve me establishing another account, lay it on me.

I do want someone who is ready to buy immediately, I will not likely hold them for you for much longer than 24 hours after you agree to purchase. Perfectly willing (and would actually prefer to) accomplish the 4 or 5 transaction steps all in one go in real time with you either by phone or email so if there's any hiccup it doesn't get dragged out.

Sorry to come in hot on the restrictions, but I want to be clear and not waste anybody's time.

PM me if you are interested, happy to answer any questions.

This is my first post on the board, but I am known to @Headache In A Suitcase from another venue and I believe he will vouch for me if you want to check in with him.

Generals sale huge queue to tell me GA is sold out. I wonder if anyone got a real ticket from this.

I haven’t gotten past queue to check seats yet. Been 10 minutes.

I jumped in the queue for 10/7 a few minutes ago just to check (after 12). In the very unlikely event I pull anything up, I will let you know, but I very much doubt it. I do not know why they said these earlier dates got marked as going on sale today...

Someone just said they got a GA for an earlier date, so I guess tickets keep magically popping up.

The General Sale for 10/7 consists of overhang seats at full price.

Best you can do is row 30, which is the start of the obstruction.

I got a 10-7 sat seat 268 ticket in same exact row and section as Thursday. Hilarious weird.

Now to check in on JetBlue and see what the cost will be, because if it adds another 1000 bucks with hotel and flights and crap, then maybe not a great idea when I logically think about it.

At least it says that it's not a clear view... why these are still 500 bucks and not 400 or something else is weird...use.jpg

I got my friend's birthday show tix(!), seats in P3 on the 15th. I was hoping for P4 but nada available for the ~affordable~ price. BUT STILL, YAY.

And yeah, the queue for letting us know GAs are sold out is a nice touch, plus the having to enter in a code from a text every time.

Having to reverify every time makes ZERO sense. And :applaud: for tickets!
