Tho, don't put this on U2. U2 and U2.com are two entirely different entities. :wink: U2 have far less of a fail history.

I truly hope they're doing this right. This idea is brilliant. Now they just have to pull it off.

agreed. i'm hopeful as well. if they do pull it off, i may even subscribe again to help their subscriptions increase. if their marketing team sees that their subscriptions increase when offering this kind of product, it could lead to more cool stuff in the future.
 
I'm really happy with this one, as I'm a year behind with subscription gifts. So last year I chose Artificial Horizon. I'm kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda thinking of picking this new one this year, instead of Duals. :wink: Just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle thought tho.
 
Yeah, I really don't get why the rarities are not all of the highest ranked. Who the hell wants another version of One more than a The Return of the Stingray Guitar????
 
Well, so much for holding out longer before voting.

As of now, I only see 5 spots being wasted and two of them look fairly safe in the top half. The ones near the bottom are With or Without You (15th), Beautiful Day (17th), and City (20th). The closest outsider I would like to see make it is Unknown Caller (26th).
Sad to see that Your Blue Room is way off the cutline. :sad:
 
What possible motivation would they have for pulling a fast one and just putting the hits on the CD? If it is fanclub only, they are getting people to vote so they can have what they want.

It's not like they will shift more units if it has the hits on it. Sometimes conspiracy theories are just a bit.... ridiculous

it's not about motivation dan, it's about incompetance. i'm just using U2.com's history of incompetance as caution to those who automatically think that the top 22 voted tracks will be on the cd.

it wasn't motivation that screwed over thousands of fans during the ticket fiasco of 2005, it was incompetance.

with that said, i'm still hopeful but just not completely sold yet.
 
Okay, obviously most U2 fans are completely stupid.
Is it not totally obvious to go for songs that haven't been released in a live form from 360, or is that asking too much?! Genuinely thought this was a no-brainer.:huh:
 
I wish they'd just charge us for any show we want. U2.com puts the shows up for download and charge us $10 or $20 (and whatever that amounts to in the country you're in) for any show on the 360 tour we want. They did record every show right? I think that would be pretty sweet and would be like a little keepsake from any show you saw. I'd love to have the 2009 Raleigh show in high quality and the 2011 Philadelphia show in high quality.

i know, right?

at the very least, any songs on the rose bowl dvd shouldn't be put on here (note, i mean songs on the setlist, not the actual songs). if you want a 360 version of one, streets, etc...we already fucking have them. the fact that your blue room only has like 1.5% of the vote is gross.
 
I gotta say though, it seems kind of dumb to pick 22 because that was the minimum # of songs played during the tour, the majority of the shows were 23. I'm pretty sure only a few rain-shortened shows had 22 song sets.
