I miss using this. :madwife:

Hey Adam...I promised you lots of favors when I was begging the computer to come back to life the other night. We can add Bono to those favors if I get a Disco snippy. :shifty:

Is Jay Zed rapping in it and spoiling it or is it just U2?

. . . and I here I have a sneaky confession, I am actually coming around to the Jay-z'd Sunday Bloody SUnday, but would quite like him to keep his mitts off Scarlet . .. kthxbai

I promised the U2 gods I'd refrain from commenting about him for the remainder of this leg if they fixed my computer Sunday night and let me back up all my files.
:reject:

ouch you are having computer problems CK? sorry to hear that:) hope you can back everything up safely

Better question...any way to find mp3s of this stuff? My nano needs an upgrade

:shifty: you reading my mind again now girly ?

i was skeptical about it when the idea first surfaced a year ago, but i was floored by the brandenburg gate version, and i was really, really jaded on sunday bloody sunday.

talk about breathing new life into something.

not sure that I'd say I'm floored just yet, but I don't have the hate for it that I did . . . and I think that brandenburg version is the one I was listening to the other night . . . had the kidlets dancing too

That was indeed one of the more memorable performances of the songs, especially for me, I'm an arian cat rug pastry 50% off Persian:

Encore(s):
20. One

mary j. blige took centre stage and completely oversang a classic (note this day, i'm being generous to one) and essentially took any of the quintessential u2 out of the song.

jay-z in sunday bloody sunday and scarlet is a simple, supplemental role that bono could do (but isn't as good at it). i think it speaks to his character and ability that he doesn't gag to be front and centre.

Of course.
Would it be a setlist party if we weren't posting practically the same thoughts?

:sexywink:  . . . I just need to get a little faster :giggle:

so many bad jokes I could make, but won't . . . and I am now making a concerted effort to be on time to actually catch the Jay-z after hearing some really positive reviews of him . . . and besides, this old girl needs to extend her musical vocabulary somewhat . . . so why not

Just to clarify, because a couple of people asked, yes, Tutu's speech preceded One as per normal. #u2360brisbane

Nothing wrong with, as you say, breathing new life into a 25 year old song. My beef with Mary J One, well there are several...
