No. Nothing. :crack: I hope things are ok.
I know yesterday was a long day and if she was up late w/ mom and then had to be back at work today she could be .

that's probably the case. I know how stressful it was with my dad's stuff in Feb and having to work so I can only imagine what she's going through with her mom.

I had such a yucky feeling the very first time I ever stepped foot into the kitchen at my soon to be former job and it's been nothing but stress the entire time. I saw the kitchen at my new job and it's just like stepping into heaven  Clean and organized with people in charge that know what they are doing. My new boss seems pretty cool so far. I was hoping for a 3 day weekend next week but when they asked what my last day is at my job I said Friday so then it was "oh good you can start on Monday....." so I still just have a 2 day weekend next week but they are slow right now, which is why they wanted me to start, so I should be able to ease into things without it being super crazy from the get go. I'm really relieved to be back in a large hotel. Still no where near the size of the resort, and I will never get to that size again by living here, but it's definitely the most comparable job I've had in MN to what I did there so I'm really looking forward to it now....even though the hours are not what I want. But they were more than willing to give me my days off for the summer that I need and it sounds like I won't have to work on Sundays so all is good. If I'm off on Sundays then I will at least have one day that I know I can plan things in advance....plus I get a really bad stomachache from Sept to Jan if I have to work during the hours of noon to 9 on Sundays. :shifty: So I'm just planning ahead :flirt:

The cure for annoyance is finding Roy Orbison special on PBS..........he is singing w/ baby Bruce :cute:
Gotta say the Key Lime custard is helping too :D

ETA: Bruce just looks in complete awe of Roy Orbison.
Bruce, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt.........I gotta get me this on dvd

You have to get the really bad stomachache when 2 teams in particular meet.

I don't know what about my narrow little condo-garage alley screams "50 MPH THRU STREET!" to some people but the Jimmy John's delivery guy just nearly went through my garage.

^The question is would it help or hinder the selling of the condo? Trying to find that bright side people talk about.........

Unlimited Jimmy John's sandwiches delivered right to your kitchen door? There's a bright side to everything!

Gotta love free WIFI at Borders
Also kinda lovin' the little Netbook I got at work for a very, very, low price.

Someone was talking and they were saying to the person they were w/, "I wonder if I will be able to hear the clients on the phone today. The Blue Angels were buzzing the office yesterday." Should work here Schmeg, in that building. "What did you say? I can't hear you. I guess it will have to wait until Monday.............Have a nice weekend". ;)
What? Not professional? ;)

I got to work today to find out from my coworker, the only person at this place that I trust and would tell anything to, that our boss is badmouthing me. She hates it there too and is opening up her own business in Aug. But until then she has to act like she cares about her job  He told her he called in that former student to "piss me off" and intentionally had her come in while I was still working. :der: I would feel bad for her that she has to work for him but it's really a perfect job for someone with no experience because they are taking away things and changing stuff to the point that even a student could figure it out. So he's not sure if he's even going to hire her. What an ass. He also told my coworker that anyone could do my job so he might just designate each person in the kitchen to make a dessert. They don't give a crap about quality so this would be perfect. I'm going to change my last day to Wed instead of Friday. I feel like it's unprofessional on my part but he's dragging me through the mud for finding a new job so I feel like he's not worthy of my notice. They are going to be so busy next weekend so he's going to have to figure it out, since anyone can do my job. I need a few days off. Between working 2 jobs, dealing with the cat situations of Lily leaving and Wesley being sick, and then all of the interviews I'm just worn out and could really use some time to myself. They are lucky I'm even showing up at all at this point. I'm usually not like this because I don't want to burn bridges but my boss seems to be burning it for me.

My boss at job #2 is more than happy to let me stay on in some capacity when needed. It's such a refreshing change of pace to deal with a grown up. I've worked for this company for 5 years with a 2 year break, so they are willing to keep me in anyway they can.

Quite the professional your soon to be ex boss is :down:. You are the professional ~good for you. I would say stay thru Friday just to piss him off :shifty: Don't give him the opportunity/pleausre of saying you were unreliable.

It will just be Jen and myself tomorrow. N has to work :(.
Hitting up some place for breakfast and then gonna head down.

It really was a nice day today. Enjoyed walking past people who were taking pics and asking if they wanted to be in the pic.......hope the pics turned out for them :) The mad picture taker of Milwaukee :D, that was me.

Took 117 myself. The Raptor is a scary and impressive piece of technology. It was flying way out over the lake and slowly moved inland............kinda creepy in the overcast sky.

I am ok w/ waking up early but this 5 am stuff has gotta stop :crack:
You would think that w/all the fresh air and walking I did yesterday I could sleep at least till 6

I was actually asleep between the hours of 2 and 6 am without any unnecessary waking up for the first time this week. I didn't wake up until my alarm when off at 8:30. It was soooo nice.

Home. Air show canceled today due to inclement weather, but pilot safety first. We are heading back downtown tomorrow.
Herb Hunter, narrator, sounded pretty down hearted when he had to announce the formal cancellation. He said it was only the 2nd time that this happened in his career.
It was still a fantastic day. Being w/ a friend by the beach and going crazy taking pics of scenery and seagulls. People watching was
After the hike back to the car off to Outback we went. Mojito :drunk: Chicken wasn't bad either and the bloomin' onion
I bought and am wearing a Blue Angels T-shirt :nerd:

Saw the pilot of the Raptor signing autographs for the kids. I don't know who was more excited, the kids or Major Skalicky.

This baby face flies this incredibly intimidating piece of technology

Ok off to charge batteries again.
