I got to work today to find out from my coworker, the only person at this place that I trust and would tell anything to, that our boss is badmouthing me. She hates it there too and is opening up her own business in Aug. But until then she has to act like she cares about her job
He told her he called in that former student to "piss me off" and intentionally had her come in while I was still working.
I would feel bad for her that she has to work for him but it's really a perfect job for someone with no experience because they are taking away things and changing stuff to the point that even a student could figure it out. So he's not sure if he's even going to hire her. What an ass. He also told my coworker that anyone could do my job so he might just designate each person in the kitchen to make a dessert.
They don't give a crap about quality so this would be perfect. I'm going to change my last day to Wed instead of Friday. I feel like it's unprofessional on my part but he's dragging me through the mud for finding a new job so I feel like he's not worthy of my notice. They are going to be so busy next weekend so he's going to have to figure it out, since anyone can do my job. I need a few days off. Between working 2 jobs, dealing with the cat situations of Lily leaving and Wesley being sick, and then all of the interviews I'm just worn out and could really use some time to myself. They are lucky I'm even showing up at all at this point.
I'm usually not like this because I don't want to burn bridges but my boss seems to be burning it for me.
My boss at job #2 is more than happy to let me stay on in some capacity when needed. It's such a refreshing change of pace to deal with a grown up. I've worked for this company for 5 years with a 2 year break, so they are willing to keep me in anyway they can.
