Classic. love the pants.

i won't even talk about my g/f in here, (the young twenty-something blonde & busty blue eyed hottie) keeping her happy is another sport unto itself.

I think I speak for a lot of us when I thank you for not sharing your sexual exploits, real or imagined, in here. You did once post about having a sex bench in your shower, though, that I do remember. :)

wow, it's starting to get hard to work out which thread is which nowdays. is this shuttlecock, random movie discussion or nfl?

do you know how many media companies would love this kind of seamless coverage?

(granted i don't really care, it's only the pre-season)

Go ahead and bitch about it in your UYMFA thread. The majority of the posts in the previous page (9 of the 16) were football related, NFL or otherwise.

Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez.

Mark Sanchez.

I was thinking the same thing last night. Add him to the list of people ESPN has to constantly talk about.

He hasn't even taken a snap in a real game and he's covered like he's already AllPro. His first pass was a panic, and while he was just trying to dump it off, the fact that he couldn't see Ngata(sp) probably means his eyes were closed.

And Ray Lewis should have had a pick 6 on his next pass!!!

I do think Sanchez can be a good QB, but the hype is just unreal. I try to avoid ESPN at all costs, so are they covering Stafford as much?

Stafford is in Detroit, so, why the fuck would ESPN care about him?

I babble about this too much, but, the fact that ESPN is the industry leader goes a long way towards explaining why I no longer want to work in this industry.

I agree. Just thought I'd ask if Stafford's battle for starting is getting any mention. Just in the few minutes I catch on a weekend, you'd think Sanchez won the super bowl instead of Eli Manning.

NFLN is much better, but it's really not saying a whole lot. I just can't stand the talking heads anymore.

Even watching the games on Sunday/Saturday is tough anymore. We have 3 guys in a booth constantly talking. I just want to hear the play by play and a little analysis. We're so detailed now we have to know exactly what was going on for every little play that it's just too much for me.

I like hearing the crowd, or the sounds of the game, instead I get constant replays and someone talking. Last night it was Sanchez over and over and over.

Going to give MUTE try this year and see if the games are any better.

Oh, I know.....my language was meant to portray ESPN as not giving a shit, not to make it like you asked a dumb question.

There are still some quality two man booths out there, but yes, the three man booth is something I have major issues with and fight against here all the time. Muting the game doesn't work, I've tried. We're just too conditioned to have play by play and whatnot going on as we watch. Hey, we do have some positive developments, though. Fox is giving Bilick better games to call, in a two man booth, which is good, he's a natural. Kornheiser is out on MNF which is great. Collinsworth is out of NBC's studio and working with Michaels on Sunday nights...Michaels still pretty much has his fastball, so that's a good duo.

espn is my only way of seeing football on television :hyper:

thank fuck i only have to face it for three more months.

the season will be half over by then! I remember being overseas and missing all of the football action or even when the games were televised they were on at the weirdest times...on year we got up at like 5am to watch NE lose to GB in the SB.

i've gone five years with just espn for my football fix, another three months is nothing!

here we get the sunday and monday night games live mid-afternoon the next day (as in sunday night football equates to you're home from class surprisingly early on monday afternoon football). last season we started getting one of the fox games delayed in the evening. shit, it was only last season we started to get all of the playoffs live. i know sunday night is not an espn game, but for us the only part of it that is nbc is play by play. it's also a complete fucking lottery for if we get the games that are on thursday nights.

don't get me started on espn in new zealand. you think you guys have it bad.

well three months you will be here in time to watch things get interesting....some teams will be shit and some will be seperating from the pack while others will be inches away from playoff elimination and playing each game with urgency. Good times!

exactly. it'll be nice to see the whole playoff picture instead of big market team vs big market team or big market team vs token little market team (plus green bay).

As eveidence by Green Bay's improvement from 2007 to 2008.

wasn't Rodger's fault. in fact, he was one of the few bright spots last year. the defense was awful last year and blew 5 4th Quarter leads, plus, we got killed by the injury bug last year.

It's a shame they won't face the Pats in the regular season, because they are clearly the top two teams in the AFC going into this year.

Well, I would definitely like to see the two of them hook up in the regular season, for sure. I guess they're the Top 2 teams in the conference, yeah. Next level would be Indy and SD, I guess, with maybe Baltimore? Texans could be ready to finally break through and be a playoff team. I guess I'm not quite ready to discuss the NFL as my brain is still in MLB mode.
