I suppose you didn't see in the old Shuttlecock threads (RIP) when I was all but ostracized for saying the new album sucked. Which it continues to do.

Radiohead don't necessarily seem to be completely above criticism around these parts, but I understand what you're getting it. Just about everyone bashes Pablo Honey. Lance hates In Rainbows, but then again he's a sad, sad little man and hates just about everything (the product of not knowing your father and having a mother who makes Jenna Jameson look like a nun, I suppose). And plenty of people express dislike of Amnesiac.

The majority of criticism comes from people who seem to think only one band in music matters and the rest suck

Yes, it could have been a ploy to get the band to either get to work or go home, but still, WTF. Hopefully said management gets canned.

It was always gonna be unlikely that Amnesiac was gonna be more widely appreciated than Kid A. A minority might prefer Amnesiac over Kid A, but at the end of the day Kid A was bound to satisfy more people. The songs on Kid A are the first cabs of the rank, given greater regard by the band themslves than most of the songs from Amnesiac. They are ultimately all songs from the Kid Amnesiac sessions, and I highly doubt Kid A was released with the Amnesiac album (as it would turn out to be), in consideration.

What is most staggering is the quality of the third cabs off the rank, Fog, Cuttooth, Kinetic - all are cracking songs.
