That's crazy...I guess most of our colleges require passing a certain number of years of a foreign language, English, social studies, and math to get in too though.
It seems so formulaic and calculated...
but at least you can't argue with a college's decision, really, where here, admissions decisions are pretty interpretative.
Well seeing as despite the fact that they are private they have an entry requirement of 570 points (max possible is 600), they seem to be a pretty well regarded college
I have to choose what subject I'm focusing my degree on in the next few weeks. I think I'm gonna go with Accounting my other choices are...Banking and Finance lol: Who in their right mind would do that NOW?), Management (No), HRM (HAHHAHAHA), MIS/Computer Systems (I signed up for a business course?), and one other choice. That has to be the easiest choice ever
Well the course I'm doing is a 3 year course, the first two are a general oversight of business courses with a specialising in the last year. In the end it's pretty useless without a masters, seeing as everyone and there mother has a degree now.
Accountancy is the best path I think, even bankrupt companies need accountants to tell them how bankrupt they are
I'm good...I found out that The Flaming Lips are playing the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago in July, but I can't go because we're not allowed to have any time off in July for work this summer. The three day festival's only $75, and the rest of the lineup is amazing too!
Hey Justin
Guys is there any other forum on the internet as negative as this one? I mean it's crazy here "What's wrong with NLOTH", and people talking about how the album will suck after the hype is over, can't people just enjoy music?
Hi John.
I think it is healthy to be critical but ETYKIW goes overboard.
Guys is there any other forum on the internet as negative as this one? I mean it's crazy here "What's wrong with NLOTH", and people talking about how the album will suck after the hype is over, can't people just enjoy music?
That's ridiculous! You can't have just a few days off?!
What I don't get is that the album has been out for a month and people think the hype will wear off I don't get people around here. It's like they don't have other music to listen to, seriously I don't spend a month decided if an album is good or not, I don't listen to an album I don't like 100 times to make myself like it, I don't listen to an album a million times in a day until I'm sick of it. The idea of doing that stuff just confuses me
Nope...we have like 6,000 kids here that month for a worldwide youth soccer tournament, so I know why we can't, but really? It's the Flaming Lips!! And, I haven't seen them in over a year... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll do some shows in between their festival dates this summer, and maybe Minneapolis will pop up. The National is doing the same thing; they're playing Pitchfork, but playing Minneapolis and Milwaukee the two nights prior.
Maybe I could convince someone to take my shift for a night though...if I were scheduled then. If I only went for the one day, it wouldn't be as bad as trying to get three days off, I don't think. I have some thinking to do now.
If you put your mind to it, you'll find a way. You'll find a way.
I keep telling you guys to stay out of the EYKIW area... Seriously though, that's my way of not becoming annoyed with this forum...I think I would've left a long time ago if I were in there all the time reading the ridiculousness that comes out of people's keyboards.
Hype usually goes away after a week or two. If they mean it won't age well, that's so far down the road that it is pointless to even think about.
I don't think these people can enjoy an album, I mean would they have said the same thing about AB? TJT? TUF? NLOTH is one of my favourite U2 albums, will it always be, who knows? But right now it is and that's all that matters
I know EYKIW is crazy, those people need to learn about non-U2 music that can sometimes be good too
Seriously though, they do. The entire world doesn't revolve around U2!
I think we need to do another top 50 U2 songs again soon and see how the NLOTH songs rank up
