U2 at The Culture Show BBC Two - Cue Culture: the interference culture show evening

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Guys, I complained about the comment on the BBC blog, the one that said that U2 were insignificant midgits or whatever.

I checked "Incites people to commit a crime" as the reason

Would this make anyone in this thread want to send me a link to everything that happened on BBC? I missed it all

lol

PLEASE can anyone send me the link to the AUDIO files of GOYB and NLOTH at the culture show. I've scanned this thread but I could only find the You Tube videos.

Please, thank you!!!!

Or via pm, doesn't matter.

Waw, sublime version of NLOTH :hyper:
Great how Edge kicks at "I'm a traffic cop"
This tour is gonna be magnificent
Also like the funny Boots intro.
Hope we get more of these

Great show, much better than I was expecting, but it's a pity Kermode hates U2 so much as I'd quite like to see him spar with Bono, that would be entertaining.

Anyway, like everyone else has been saying that version of NLOTH was excellent, full of drive and energy, Bono certainly sounds the best he has since R&H, his confidence is clear, no longer shying away from the more difficult moments but tackling them head on. Although I don't think he has the warm clarity or raw power of the past, the highness and flexibility he now possesses is undeniable. I'm impressed, if he can keep this level of consistency for the tour then we're in for something very special indeed.

what did it say further?

what a geat version of nltoh b the way. listening to it no and man does it rock!
voice sounds great!

It was a good show, could've done without the random music journalists slagging 'em off in between though! The live versions sounded great, Bono's voice sounds amazing! :D

In one of these interviews, love the moment when Adam pulls "Drowning Man" out of his ass to answer what is the song that defines U2 and all the other guys are for two seconds like: "WTF? Never heard of it.". :D

That's in the French Canal+ interview... Not this one...
But yes, it is very funny. It's like they haven't mentioned that song in 25 years and then Adam remarks that it "sums him up"..

It was the NRJ interview, not the Canal+ one. And yeah, that moment cracked me up too.

I was glad those bits were there to be honest, because it stopped it being pure "advertising". Plus, I couldn't disagree with what they said about the last two albums being less... dynamic, shall we say.
